What visitors say
The screen quality at Vue is very good, and the picture is clear and enjoyable. However, the seating could be much better.

I can safely say this is the worst cinema experience I have ever had, and that is not a title won easily. Walking into the screen felt less like entering a cinema and more like stumbling into the aftermath of a festival that nobody bothered to clean up. Rubbish was scattered across the floor, stuffed underneath seats, left on seats, and seemingly abandoned in every available corner. Anyone looking at the photos attached to this review can see exactly what I mean. It was painfully obvious that the screen had not been cleaned properly between showings. For a company charging modern cinema prices, basic cleanliness should not be considered an optional extra. The problems did not stop there. During the showing of Cocktail 2, people were allowed to wander into the screen ridiculously late. On at least four separate occasions, groups arrived around 30 minutes after the film had already started. Every arrival meant more disruption, more shuffling around, more phone torches and more people blocking the screen. Apparently the policy here is that as long as you eventually arrive, it doesn't matter if everyone else's viewing experience is ruined. What made matters even worse was the constant use of phones throughout the film. People were taking photos of the screen, some even using flash. Flash. In a dark cinema. The fact that this continued throughout the film without staff intervention is astonishing. Either nobody was monitoring the screens or nobody cared enough to do anything about it. Then came the toilets. If the screen was disappointing, the toilets somehow managed to lower the bar even further. The floors were filthy, rubbish was everywhere and bins were overflowing. The whole area felt neglected and unpleasant. And finally, something that Vue cannot entirely control but certainly contributes to the overall experience. The gentleman sitting beside me decided the film would be best enjoyed with his shoes off. The smell that followed was truly something special. Imagine a mixture of body odour and mature cheese being slowly released into an enclosed environment for two hours. It was an assault on the senses that no surround sound system could drown out. The most frustrating part is that I regularly visit Vue Cribbs Causeway in Bristol and never encounter any of this nonsense. Screens are clean, the environment is pleasant and people seem capable of watching a film without turning it into a public disturbance. This cinema, however, feels like it has completely given up. A cinema should allow you to escape into a film for a couple of hours. Instead, this venue delivered a masterclass in poor cleanliness, lack of supervision and disregard for the customer experience. I will not be returning, and I would strongly suggest management spends less time selling tickets and more time ensuring the building is fit for people to sit in.

Came here last night to watch MK2, booked online but mistakenly booked for Star Wars. Staff were helpful and the manager amended the booking with no issues. Cinema was clean considering how late it was. We were in one of the smaller screens, everything was fine. My son had a hotdog which he enjoyed, just not the price. Overall nice cinema, with friendly staff.

Vue Cinema London delivered a solid overall experience when I went yesterday to watch Dhurandhar. Booking was straightforward, and getting in was quick with clear signage and staff on hand if needed. The screen and sound were strong throughout the film, and the picture quality stayed sharp with good brightness and contrast, which made the action and atmosphere land well. The seating was comfortable enough for a full feature, and the auditorium felt well maintained. It did get a bit busy around showtime, so there was the usual pre-film rush at concessions, but it moved reasonably fast. Cleanliness was generally good, including the seating area and common spaces. Overall, a reliable choice for a night at the movies in London—good presentation, smooth entry, and a comfortable watch. I’d happily return, especially for big releases where sound and screen quality really matter.

Some reviews mention the staff can be unhelpful.
