Went by train, station right round the corner. Plenty of space for your buggy. Great fun for the under 5 years I'd say. Set out on two floors with an outside area. Lovely cafe with super helpful friendly staff. I would definitely go again!!!

Great place. Recommend for 0-5year olds. I would defo say book in advance and add extra activities so the kids done get bored. Can get busy however staff are amazing and very child centred. Cafe is well priced compared to other play cafes. You can bring a picnic as most parents too. Great for SEN. They have SEN sessions too.

This was my third time at Discover and the worst time I’ve had. Be aware that the centre is still under refurbishment and a lot of areas are closed off. I was looking forward to new story worlds or something new in the playground but it was still the same. It seems the only change was moving their cafe to the front of the centre which was incredibly small, floors were filthy and the bin was overflowing! Staff had no care and was busy having personal conversations rather than take care and tidy of the space. The toilet were awful. There was no changing table in sight. The toilet cubicle where it was supposed to be was out of order and locked the whole time. I had to change my son’s nappy inder the stairs of the story worlds. The floors were wet, slippery and black. I was there from 1-5pm and no one went in there once to clean or atleast dry the floor. There was a huge group of atleast 20 kids there ranging from ages 6-12 running havoc. Running, screaming all across the story worlds and garden area, almost knocking my two year old and smaller babies down the stairs. Shouting expletives and being really rough in play. Not one staff member stepped in to have a word with their group leaders or tell them to stop. The centre in general was really untidy and a major health and safety risk. Countless pieces of a4 paper scattered on the floors where any child can trip. The buggy park being outside in the playgrounds you have to wheel it all the way through the story world where babies and kids are on the floor or in the way. The price for kids and adults is expensive for what you get and the fact we have to pay extra for the story telling including adults is appalling. They should never have opened prematurely atleast until the whole place was complete. They also desperately need a cleaning service to oversee the whole grounds throughout the day. The only positive is that my kids enjoyed the slides and the story session. I’m really gutted this was my experience and unfortunately cannot recommend to anyone at this point.

Truly magical place. The care and attention that goes into the design and the planning of the spaces is just wonderful. My daughter was entranced. Once you get your head round the booking system online (you need to book a day or annual ticket plus whatever specific exhibition or performance you want to go to-) it’s wonderful!
