What diners say
On top of the world, a wonderful anniversary meal. The meal started with great seafood dishes .The stone bass was exceptional. The mains were delicious as was the dessert. Service from Mantel was efficient, kind and considerate, and Tia on reception was very kind. thank you all. (The music that others have mentioned was at a low volume so not a problem.) A very enjoyable experience for both of us.

Sadly, we won't be coming back. We were really looking forward to dining here after having such an incredible experience at Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas, but from start to finish, this visit was disappointing—particularly the service. 1. Front of house: The lady with the low ponytail who greeted us came across as very dismissive. She made very little eye contact while speaking to me, and her tone did not make us feel welcome. 2. Bar service: We were told our table would be ready in about five minutes, so we decided to have a drink at the bar while waiting. Unfortunately, no one came to take our order until around five minutes later, and our drinks took at least another 15 minutes to arrive. 3. Atmosphere: The music was extremely loud, although it was turned down after we requested it. The choice of fast-paced music didn't seem to suit the dining atmosphere and may not appeal to older guests. 4. Fried chicken: Only order this if you enjoy a very thick batter. It was much heavier than expected, and one piece of chicken was slightly undercooked. 5. Missing dish: All of our main courses arrived except for the salad. We had to remind the staff, although it was brought out promptly once we mentioned it. 6. Wine service: While pouring our wine, a few drops spilled onto the table, which is understandable. However, the staff member walked away without wiping it up, and we had to ask for the table to be cleaned. 7. Sticky toffee pudding: This was another disappointment. The version we had in Las Vegas was unforgettable, but this one was extremely dense, and we couldn't finish it. 8. Payment: During payment, the staff member collecting the bill rested one of her legs on a chair. We found this inappropriate and felt it did not reflect a professional standard of service. Overall, while the food had some enjoyable elements, the service consistently fell short of expectations. The team would benefit from better training in service flow, attention to detail, and professional hospitality. Perhaps management should consider in proper customer service training for the team. Diners choose to visit Bishopgate22 because they expect not only exceptional food, but also service that matches the reputation. Although service recovery was offered, we would have happily paid the full bill in exchange for the level of service we had expected. Throughout the meal, it felt as though the staff were simply trying to get through the service rather than creating a warm and welcoming dining experience. Customers can sense this, and unfortunately it had a significant impact on what should have been an enjoyable evening with our family, especially as I wanted my parents-in-law to experience the same dining experience that we had in Hell’s Kitchen, Las Vegas. Lastly, a shout-out to Francesco, who listened to our feedback and genuinely tried his best to make things right. We appreciated his effort and professionalism.

Thank you so much, Ufuk! Your service was absolutely outstanding and made our evening truly memorable. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was amazing, and the sunset view over London was simply breathtaking. Every part of the experience exceeded our expectations. And finally, our inside joke: the Lemon Cheesecake is definitely better than the Ham & Cheesecake! 😄 Thank you for a wonderful evening. We hope to be back soon!

We had a lovely lunch of Beef Wellington. Was worth the wait. My only comment would have been to have more mash for two people. Service was friendly and attentive from Wifuk (not sure how it was spelt so apologies!)
