About Brownlows Inn
Brownlows Inn is a modest three-storey property on Mount Pleasant in Liverpool, holding just 17 rooms and keeping things simple rather than grand. It has the feel of a straightforward city inn, built for guests who want a base near the centre rather than a destination in itself.
Rooms are en-suite and include family options, with drinks available in room and free WiFi throughout. The style is basic and functional, and while it suits those after value over luxury, some rooms show signs of wear and can pick up noise from the street or nearby bars. There's a bar on site for a drink without heading out, though there's no parking, so this suits guests arriving by public transport or on foot.
The location is the property's strongest card: Mount Pleasant puts guests within easy reach of Liverpool's attractions and transport links, with restaurants, pubs and other eateries close by for evenings out. Staff are consistently described as friendly and ready to help, which goes some way to making up for the rougher edges of the rooms themselves.

What guests say
From my experience here, the beds were okay, they done the job it was meant to, the bathrooms and everything else though was bad, the bathroom and bedroom floor contained silverfish, i had to spend my holiday cleaning it up, the towels were yellow and smelled like it wasn't washed for a while, the smell was so pungent we could smell it as soon as we opened the door, we went to get fresh ones and when we recieved new ones theu were just as bad, the towels were just constantly bad, we even went and purchased new towels to dry ourselves down with, the shower went cold, then straight to hot, then to a mild warm straight away after. The blinds wouldnt open so we just had no sun in our room for 5 days, the staff werent bad there, its the online staff that are pains, overall I wouldnt recommend this place, I would actually avoid this place, ive got videos of the silverfish and the towels

Please do not stay here. Rooms are dirty and the smell of sewage in my room had me sharing with my friend the second night linen and towels dirty stains on bed and pillows it's disgraceful that they charged me £200 for 2 nights the heat in the rooms make it unbearable impossible to sleep couldn't open windows was more like a cell totally spoilt my trip to liverpool. Couldn't fault the staff they were polite n helpful I told them how hot it was they gave me a fan but to be honest was just blowing hot air. Please avoid like the plague

Overpriced for the standard and quality of the rooms. Grubby, unloved, very cheap looking place. Staff very friendly and polite, the only positive. It was not mentioned to them as it was not their fault. A note to the owners, please don’t disrespect customers, they will only stay once! Our room 8 was incredibly small, yes we knew we ordered a small double but it was more like a single room, which resembled a prison cell, with a high window looking onto a wall. - heater which did not work, very poor decor which hadn’t been decorated for what looks like a long time. A disappointing stay and we couldn’t wait to leave!

Location is great. the room was very small but it was clean and the bathroom was nice too. There were USB plugs which came really handy. The staff was kind but they were not at their desks and took forever to let us in when we arrived and we had to clap and shout to make them come for check out.
