About Printworks Hotel

Printworks Hotel suits anyone after a straightforward, well-placed stay in Liverpool rather than a destination in itself. With 33 rooms on Renshaw Street, it works well for city breaks, gig weekends or trips built around exploring on foot, since the location puts attractions within easy reach without the need for a car - handy given there's no parking on site.

Rooms are simple and can run on the small side, but they come with air conditioning, free WiFi and the option of drinks in room, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. There's a restaurant and bar in the hotel itself, plus breakfast, and if guests fancy heading out there are further pubs, bars and restaurants nearby. Extras like luggage storage, laundry service and concierge support add convenience for shorter stays, and the hotel also hosts weddings for those planning an event.

Staff are generally helpful, though service standards have been known to vary. What guests consistently value is the price against the location - this is a place that keeps things functional and central rather than polished, with a garden on site for a bit of outdoor space between exploring the city.

Fantastic little place! The greeting upon arrival was top tier. Only slight issue was the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly unless you pulled it hard and it slammed. Other than that - fantastic! Would stay again and recommend.

The location is great and the rooms were clean. However, it was the worst shower I've ever had to use in my life, and the dispenser for the body soap was missing from the bottle. There were no hand towels (two bath towels). I also really dislike it when places take a deposit "in case of damage" like I'm a drunken teenager with no respect. The place was nice enough though I think it might be noisy if it was busier. It's OK if only they could sort the shower.

I'm very disappointed with the staff at this hotel. 1 booked a room for two people and, at check-in, informed reception that the second person would arrive later. I even offered to provide his name, but the receptionist said all he needed was the room number and my name to receive his key. An hour later, I received a call saying my boyfriend was being denied entry. A different receptionist aggressively accused me of "sneaking someone in," despite the room being booked for two people. He spoke to me in a degrading manner, threatened to evict me, and even said he would call the police. When I questioned whether this treatment was related to the fact that I'm Irish and my boyfriend isnt white, his attitude suddenly changed and he seemed to realise his mistake. I'm embarrassed and shocked by how I was treated. I travel to Liverpool often and have always had positive hotel experiences, but the staff here were completely unprofessional and in serious need of training. This incident has caused a lot of unnecessary stress, i checked out early and booked another place. Hoping to get a full refund.

I had a wonderful stay at Printworks Hotel. The location is perfect — very central and convenient, everything is within walking distance. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and has a great atmosphere. I would especially like to thank Harry. He is extremely professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. From the moment I met him, he made me feel welcome and ensured that everything was perfect during my stay. His positive attitude and attention to detail truly made a difference. I highly recommend Printworks Hotel!
