A fabulous oasis in the centre of Liverpool just 2 minutes from the maelstrom of Primark. Completely free, contemporary art, exhibitions, a secluded garden and an excellent cafe. If shopping's not your thing it's a great place to go whilst others get parted from their cash.

Loved my visit ❤️ The gallery was closed but what a treat to spend time in the beautiful garden and shop as well as learning about the history of the building. I had booked a reservation for a 2pm showing of Steve McQueen's film "Grenfell 2019". Staff were incredibly kind and knowledgeable!

One of the Merseyside treasures. You can’t go to Liverpool without visiting the Bluecoat and the Bluecoat display centre. On top of the exhibitions (always brilliant interactive ones for kids too) and workshops. You’ll find some of the artist’s work in the display centre one to note is one of the artists Nawal scarves, you may even be lucky enough to bump into them at the scrumptious cafeteria! (Ps. I found some of Nawal’s paintings in the Atkinson, but they were sold already 😭- I’ll be intouch Nawal!!
