About Duke Street Boutique Hotel

A well-stocked mini-fridge in every room is one of the small touches that guests notice first at Duke Street Boutique Hotel, on Duke Street in the centre of Liverpool. Rooms come with air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in-room, with family and accessible rooms also on offer, and a lift serving the building.

Breakfast is served on site, and there's a bar and snack bar for guests who'd rather not stray far in the evening, though pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all within easy reach nearby. Free WiFi covers the property throughout. Do note there's no parking available at the hotel, so onward travel needs a bit of planning, and some guests have been caught out by an unexpected £100 deposit charged at check-in.

The location works well for exploring Liverpool ONE and the wider city centre on foot, with entertainment and nightlife close by. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the rooms themselves are kept clean and modern throughout.

Absolute Gem of a find. Booked a last minute stay with LateRooms.com, as was going on a Lads Night Out in Liverpool City Centre Travelled in by Train to Liverpool Central, with rhe Hotel a ahort walk away. Taxi Ride is about 5 minutes, and there is Parking nearby. Room cost £39 for 1 Night Reception send you an Online Check-in Form, which needs to be completed before arrival. Reception are really welcoming and helpful. On arrival, you'll need your Bank Card and Photo ID wirh you. You will be asked to pay a refundable £100 pre-authorised Deposit (to cover any damage). Continental Breakfast can also be booked. My Room was on the Lower Ground. Ample-sized with Comfy Bed, TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities, and a fully stocked Fridge (contents are sadly not complementary) The En-Suite was in the style of a Wet Room Cannot recommend the Duke Street Boutique Hotel highly enough. Will definitely be going back.

Warning regarding the £100 security deposit at Duke Street Boutique Hotel. I was hit with an entirely fabricated £100 "smoking fine" after my stay, despite the fact that no one smoked in the room. When I challenged management and asked for proof or sensor logs, they completely refused to provide any evidence to back up their claim.Looking at other reviews, deposit retention seems to be an ongoing issue here. I have now had to file a formal chargeback dispute with HSBC to retrieve my funds. Be incredibly careful giving this hotel your card details, and make sure you film the entire room upon check-out. On a positive note, the mini-bar bill and £20 late check-out charge were processed accurately, but fabricating a smoking fine to steal a deposit completely ruined the experience.

Not sure about the quality of the rooms as the rude receptionist (who sighed at us for having separate bookings and incorrect name which was booked by corporate?) never let us in. £100 taken from your account for incidentals, which is beyond the standard. A card check or so is fine, but a £100 deposit for a £35 room? For each of us? Also would not allow our manager to put her card on for the incidentals. Argued with us when we questioned it and also kept rolling her eyes. When we ended up booking a different hotel, she didn't even look up or reply when we said goodbye. Great girl!

Lovely place to stay, rooms are clean and modern. Stayed here a few times and had a lovely stay each time. Friendly staff members and it’s very close to the centre of town.
