Stayed here in room 729, facing the city, and it was a lovely view, although the windows could have done with being cleaned more. As a solo traveller, I have stayed at both ibis hotels in Manchester, as well as the one in London Canary Wharf, but by far the best-themed hotel has been the ibis Styles Liverpool Dale Street. It is so handy, being less than a few yards from the iconic Cavern Club and the main Beatles museum on Mathew Street. I cannot fault the hotel staff. I can be picky, and they helped me out every chance they could. They were always welcoming, and the fact they left a birthday card and balloons in my room was a really nice touch. I’m not sure yet where I’m going for my 50th next year! The only thing I would say is that, as I’ve gotten a bit bigger over the years, the bathrooms can feel quite small. They are pods with a step to get into them. However, the shower pressure is fantastic, as many others have mentioned. I just wish they had full bathrooms, but I do understand that these shower pods are an ibis thing. Overall, I really cannot fault the hotel. With Tesco right outside and Kitchen 54 close by for a good breakfast, plus a Greggs less than a couple of hundred yards away, the location is fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, a lovely stay in a super central part of town. FOH seem a bit tired, as seemed a touch grumpy. Otherwise, most of the FOH team are really nice and helpful. The room was mostly clean but some of the built in furniture was chipped and old. Aircon was super old and not that good at cooling the room down. But was quiet in operation and sufficient for us. Our room had two layers of window glass, so it was super quiet. I would deffo be back to stay. Free coffee all day is a nice touch too.

Nice little hotel right in the city centre. 15 mins walk from the train station and 10 mins walk from the water. Rooms are nice and modern with a Beatles theme. Only criticism was the breakfast - some odd choices. A large vat full of baked beans with nothing to go with it. Only croissants - no other pastries. No marmite for the toast! Cheese and ham toadies for breakfast!

At 11.15pm last night I arrived at the hotel and was immediately greeted warmly by a gentleman at check in. It transpired, that in a state of grief, at the time I had booked the hotel, I had entered the wrong dates. This gentleman was very supportive and helpful in my predicament. The following morning, I received a message from booking.com saying that the property would not waver the cancellation fee- ie the cost of the hotel stay. I went back to the hotel and a different member of staff invited me to sit with her. She then went through explaining the process and assured me that the fee had been cancelled- and indeed it has! Apart from being in a wonderful location with very nice rooms and being good value for money, this hotel has a wonderful team of people . Thoroughly appreciated and recommended.
