We recently celebrated our son’s First Holy Communion at Sefton Park Hotel, and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a better venue for such a special occasion. From the moment we booked, the staff were absolutely fantastic — friendly, helpful, attentive, and so accommodating. Everything was organised beautifully, and the day itself was perfect from start to finish. The food was delicious, the venue looked lovely, and the service was excellent. The whole team went above and beyond to make our son’s special day truly memorable, and our family and guests all had a wonderful time. A huge thank you to everyone at Sefton Park Hotel for helping us celebrate such an important milestone in our son’s life. We are so grateful and would highly recommend the hotel for any special occasion. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved staying at the hotel. John was very helpful in coaching us on busses, answering questions, etc. (One interesting tid-bit we were not expecting is that the hotel was once divided into two large apartments, one of which was where Stu Sutcliff - the Beatles first bass player - grew up. There are interesting framed original letters and such related to Stu around the hotel.) The Hotel is a two-minute walk to the bus stop that goes downtown. There are places to eat, etc. within about a five-minute walk of the hotel. My favorite thing, and what led me to choose this hotel, was the nature park (Sefton Park) that is directly across the road. It has a network of trails that weave through woods, around ponds with water birds, etc. Plenty of people walking dogs, and the hotel allows dogs, so your dog would love this hotel! Besides the trails within the park, there is a walking/biking trail that runs around the whole perimeter (about 2.5 miles) which means one can walk to other stores and sites while enjoying the park along the way. Lark Lane, about a ten minute walk away, has a number of interesting places to eat, shop, etc. (Penny Lane - THE Penny Lane - is east of the hotel. We got disoriented on our way into town and found ourselves driving on it - by accident!)

We arrived for lunch Tuesday 23rd June. The lady who served us was brilliant, very attentive and friendly. The food from the Terrace menu was really nice. However, what has put us off returning was the member of staff who then took over at 2.00 pm. Absolute disgrace from a customer service point. He continually moaned about being bothered, had only arrived on shift, could not find the dessert menus, was extremely rude. When we asked for the bill, he said "don't expect me to return with the card reader I'm too busy" there were five customers in the restaurant. So we had to go to reception to pay. I would not return due to the poor customer service received by, what I can only describe as Basil Fawlty. You are not a theme restaurant, don't employ miserable staff who are clearly in the wrong profession.
