Great staff here, who could not do enough for you and very pleasant. Food and coffee too were good and very reasonably priced. We were upgraded for free as well so really impressed with staff. The room itself whilst spacious did not have the setup right. No desk, glass shower/toilet section in the middle, no bedside cabinets, only two sockets some distance away from the bed. Overall great team, great location, just reconfigure the rooms.

Unreasonable and inflexible customer service I made an honest mistake with my booking dates, confusing how long my mother was staying with me, and tried to amend the reservation from 3 nights down to 1 night. I was fully willing to attend and pay for the first night. While I understand hotels often have strict 24-hour cancellation policies for the immediate date of arrival, I was only asking to cancel the subsequent nights, which were well outside that 24-hour window. Despite this, the hotel rigidly upheld their policy for the entire block and charged me the full amount (£168.67) for nights I will not be using. The complete lack of common sense, empathy, and refusal to offer any flexibility or future credit made for a deeply distressing experience. I expected much better customer service and understanding from a city centre hotel.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Z hotel at Liverpool, travelling from Australia to to the UK, as a solo female traveller. Both times (3 years apart) I have found the service perfect, friendly, not over the top and just right. I felt welcomed. The room is clean, and perfect for my needs. The shower is so good, the location is fabulous, especially its location to Mathew st. When I’m next back in Liverpool, I will stay here without question.

Really good place to stay. Small but comfortable rooms. Nice staff. And if you join and book direct you get a nice choice of wine and cheese each evening on the house. Perfect location - five minutes from Lime Street and give from the river.
