About Tune Hotel - Liverpool City Centre
Castle Street sits right in the middle of Liverpool's city centre, within easy reach of pubs, restaurants and other entertainment, and it's here that Tune Hotel - Liverpool City Centre occupies a building at 3-19 Queen Buildings. For anyone wanting a base for exploring Merseyside without paying for extras they won't use, the location does most of the work.
The hotel has 100 rooms spread across three floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, plus accessible rooms for those who need them. A lift serves all floors, and practical touches like free WiFi, luggage storage and a laundry service are included. A snack bar covers simple food needs on site, while the surrounding streets offer plenty of choice for proper meals. Parking is available nearby but comes at a charge rather than being included.
The setup suits guests after straightforward, well-priced accommodation with a central position and staff who are generally helpful, though some rooms have been found to be under-maintained and missing basic amenities. It's worth setting expectations accordingly: this is a functional stay rather than a polished one, best suited to those prioritising location and value over finish.
What guests say
We had to leave this establishment Early due to its lack of accessibility which it is stated as an accessible hotel. We booked the 31st July until 3rd August. Upon arriving on the first day we were greeted by the 'maintenance man' who clearly had been left in the learch with no idea of what was what. When we got upto the room we could barely get my partners wheelchair, ourselves & our luggage in the room, the bathroom had no lock and the snack bar advertised is actually a paid for shelf of crisps down at reception. We went down to reception and explained to the young girl it wasn't accessible, she apologised and offered a full refund or a change of room the next evening. We already had activities booked for the weekend so choose to give the change of room a try. The saturday we returned from our day out we asked for the new room, when we tried to retrieve our belongings from our original room our room card had already been blocked. When we did get this sorted the second lift we needed to use was not an accessible lift we struggled to get my partners wheelchair in alone and had to adjust at an angel which damaged his chair. You would not get an accessible chair, a carer and luggage all in at once. When we then came to leave for an evening meal which was booked we pressed the lift which automatically went to 'out of service' meaning my disabled partner had to use the stairs to leave the building. Come Sunday afternoon after completing another prebooked activities we just decided to leave early due to all the mess around. The young lady on reception couldnt gave been anymore apologetic admitting the first room we were put in was tiny and that the second lift is not suitable for a chair and luggage. She said if she was in a position she would happily refund us due to our poor stay but gave us the hotel managers contact details. We have emailed the manager to no responce not even an apology. Would highly suggests avoiding this hotel if you have accessible needs or use a wheelchair aid

Great location but aside from that our room 121 we had booked for 2 nights wasn’t great at all! We checked out early as it really wasn’t fit to stay in. Im not sure what the cleaners do but they certainly do not do any REAL cleaning. Everything was dirty, dusty, mouldy. Windows didn’t open. Door wasn’t safe it was a struggle to lock from the inside. The bedsheet on the mattress was stained and dirty. The pillow cases were inside out. There was no iron in the room. No kettle or fridge. They had an iron room which wasn’t even a room it was 1 ironing board at the end of a corridor which absolutely stank of urine and the ironing board had stains on it along with the iron. The bathroom had makeup stains on the tiles which hadn’t been cleaned from previous people staying. Shower was dirty and stained. Sink was clogged with hair and dirt. We witnessed another couple checking out early the same day as us. The girl couldn’t have been anymore mortified and apologised and gave me a card for the manager Marta for a refund. Which I certainly look forward to hearing from. This experience ruined our first trip to Liverpool which we drove to from Scotland.

We payed £186 for two nights for our anniversary this weekend, and spent less than 10 minutes in the room after we arrived. The rooms are nothing like what are advertised on booking.com. When we arrived reception was empty and we waited a good ten minutes for someone to arrive. Once given our key we made our way up to our room through the maze of corridors which I'm certain are a fire risk. There's an awful smell throughout the building. We arrived at our room and the door didn't feel right when we tried to enter and soon realised it was because it looked like it had been kicked in so you actually couldn't even lock it and all the frame work was broken. Inside the room the sockets and the hairdryer hanging off the wall, the bathroom door sounded like it was going to shatter when you opened and closed it. The windows were rotting and wouldn't open, the curtains were mouldy, the aircon didn't work, I was scared of catching an STI from the bed. This room was completely unsafe and unfit for purpose. I spoke to the man on reception and he was apologetic and was in disbelief that the cleaning staff hadn't reported it, only to later find another review stating exactly the same things from Jan/Feb. I requested a refund which I was told would go back onto my card the same day but of course it didn't. Avoid at all costs. We didn't let it ruin our weekend though, and booked the Z Hotel which was around the same price and was a really nice stay.

Booked in here Yesterday, in readiness for a Night Out in Liverpool. Booked via the Hotel Website, with the price of £44.40 being identical to the Price on the other well-known Booking Sites. I checked in at 16.00 (Check in started at 15.00), and you have to check out by 10.00am. The Hotel is an ideal base for Days/Nights Out, situated a short walk away from both, the City Centre, and Moorfields Train Station. Rooms are basic but contain the essentials required for the Stay (Towels provided also). Would certainly recommend this Hotel as a Base for a Day/Night Out in Liverpool.
