About Snowdon Inn

Set beside the gentle River Gwyrfai near Caernarfon, Snowdon Inn wins fans for its genuinely spacious pitches and the sort of thoughtful extras that elevate a stay. Free canoes wait at the riverbank for guests to potter about, while homemade pizzas served on select evenings have earned something of a cult following. The facilities are kept spotlessly clean—hot showers and proper washing-up areas—and the owners strike that perfect balance between being genuinely helpful with local advice and leaving you to your own devices.

With a cosy bar and clubhouse on-site, plus fishing and horse riding within easy reach, it's an excellent base for tackling Snowdonia's peaks or simply unwinding by the water. Dogs are welcome, and the whole site manages to feel both well-organised and refreshingly unpretentious.

Wow! Ted made our stay he went above and beyond collecting us from the local village when we couldn’t get a bus or taxi back! The campsite is a hidden gem and very reasonable. The free canoes on the river were a lovely unexpected treat. (Don’t miss these)

Campsite was brilliant! Toilets and showers were super clean, pitches were a decent size and Ted was really friendly and helpful. Only planned to stay 1 night but ended up staying for 2 nights. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there, would highly recommend.

Beautiful campsite with simple but very clean and tidy facilities. Lovely walk to Llanberis village and lake. The owner is great and is always happy to help and provide advice. Highly recommend.

This place was just bliss. Despite being fully booked, the plots are far enough apart that you don’t feel on top of each other. The river was just beautiful. Fully recommend taking a paddle board or kayak, or using the 3 seater canoe available on site and going for a slow paddle down through the lake and river. The owner was really friendly and gave us great information. It’s dog friendly too which is a bonus. Only slight negative is the distance to the toilets/showers gets a little annoying, especially at night. Take a decent torch!
