About Y Gwynedd Inn
Llanberis sits at the foot of Eryri National Park, close to Llyn Padarn and the Snowdon Mountain Railway, with walking trails and mountain scenery on every side. Y Gwynedd Inn makes the most of that setting, offering 11 rooms across two floors for walkers and travellers wanting an easy base in the village.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. Free WiFi and luggage storage are provided throughout, and there's a kitchen on site alongside the main restaurant and bar. The restaurant has a name for solid, home-cooked pub food, with lamb shank, mixed grill and a Sunday roast among the dishes regularly praised, served in generous portions at fair prices. A fire in the bar makes it a natural spot to return to after a day on the hills, and breakfast is included to set guests up for the walking ahead.
Beyond the inn, the area offers cycling and walking routes, fishing, horse riding and watersports nearby, plus other pubs and restaurants in Llanberis itself. Free parking is available nearby, making it straightforward to head out to Snowdon and the wider national park and return to a warm room and a cooked meal in the evening.

What guests say
The food is more than pub grub, delicious home cooked meals. Generous portions, reasonably priced, hot and tasty. Best pint of guiness in the village served by friendly staff.

Excellent food, well worth eating here if you're staying in Llandudno. Overall appearance is a bit like a working men's club, having said that, it's comfortable and warm. Drinks choice is limited, so better to have a drink elsewhere first.

Called in for a Sunday roast and so glad we did. I had beef and my other half had pork. Both cooked fresh and to an excellent standard, very good portions, and good value. Lovely pint of Wrexham lager on draught too. Recommended, diolch.

The place was empty, we had no booking. The waitress said it would be half an hour wait for a table. We left. Could not be asked to wait 30 minutes for a table once the entire place was so empty.
