About Premier Inn Llandudno Town Centre hotel

A purpose-built modern hotel rather than a period property, Premier Inn Llandudno Town Centre offers 90 rooms just off Vaughan Street, in easy reach of the promenade, the Great Orme and the resort's shops. The scale of the place makes it a practical base for exploring the town without sacrificing comfort.

Rooms come with air conditioning, blackout curtains and en-suite bathrooms, and are generally well insulated from noise, making for an undisturbed night's sleep. Family and accessible rooms are available, along with drinks in room and free WiFi throughout. Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar, with breakfast a particular strength, offering a good spread of cooked options and fresh coffee alongside solid value for money. Staff are consistently noted for being attentive and willing to help.

There's no on-site parking, though a chargeable car park at Llandudno station is a five-minute walk away, and an electric vehicle charge point is available. Nearby, guests can find golf, fishing, watersports and plenty of pubs and restaurants, with the seafront and Great Orme within easy walking distance.

A well placed hotel on the edge of the town centre. We stayed here for a short break - 3 nights - and enjoyed it so much we would like to return when we next have the opportunity. The hotel is a reproduction of the original Tudno Castle Hotel which was built in Victorian times. Apparently when Premier Inn attempted to convert the shell into a modern hotel it collapsed! The rebuild has lead to some rather quirky room layouts where 2 rooms "share" an external bay window with their own separate internal windows. We had a Plus room and it was a good size, but a second armchair would have been welcome - and there was space for it. The fridge in the room was a welcome feature which we used along with the coffee maker. The hotel does not have a car park and access is rather convoluted. The attractive "front" entrance is a facade and guests have to enter via a side door and descend to a lower ground floor reception adjacent to the bar and restaurant. This side door is on a busy stretch of the road making it difficult to drop off a passenger with luggage. There is a reasonable amount of free on street parking in the vicinity as well as paid car parks.

Paying purely for location and it’s very accessible for shops and walking to the sea front. The hotel itself is very tired when compared to other premier inn’s. I choose the premier plus room as I’d stayed in one not long ago and with a young baby the mini fridge is handy. If you want to book in any earlier than 3pm on the dot you pay £15. The room was very tired, stained carpets, scuffs on the walls and door frames, this room has had a hard life. It’s not very big with a pram to fit in and you’d struggle with two adults and infant. It’s disappointing as you’d expect the premier plus rooms to be the same no matter where you stay but this was nothing like the previous one I’d stayed at only a month earlier. There was no view too or any natural air, again for paying premium price you’d expect some view ! You come on a trip to see where you are not nothing. Might as well been in a basement. The breakfast isn’t worth the price, all warm etc but quality is lacking, very cheap mass production. Staff were pleasant but never around, the lift kept breaking, you need to use it to leave the hotel as there are steps up to the street to enter. So had to leave baby in pram to go find a staff member as I couldn’t get back into the hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Above average Premier Inn, due to the fact, as it's in a great location, the staff actually go out of their way to make tou feel both welcome and help you get the most out of your visit. Eat as much as you want breakfast and an on site restaurant serving wholesome food is another plus. Can't say anything about parking, but a 5 minute walk from the railway station. Another 5 minutes from the Promenade and in-between the retail park and old town. Plenty to see and do. And thanks once again Cara, for helping me, when you could have been eating your breakfast. Definitely a 5* stay.
