About Cambrian House
Cambrian House is a Grade II-listed building on Berwyn Street that has operated as a bed and breakfast for around 25 years, having previously served as a coaching inn, and was substantially renovated in 2021 and 2022. It sits centrally on the A5 in the Dee Valley, within easy walking distance of the bridge, the railway station and the town's restaurants.
The property offers nine rooms in single, twin, double and family configurations, including four-poster options and a ground-floor family bungalow, all with en-suite bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities and hairdryers. A large conservatory tearoom and dining room serve full cooked breakfasts, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, along with evening meals and packed lunches by request.
A private car park is a useful feature for a central property, with one space allocated per room, and the guest house's quiet-hours policy and refusal of stag and hen bookings make it a popular choice for couples and older visitors seeking a settled night's stay.
Guests mention this bed and breakfast offers comfortable, clean, and warm rooms with excellent showers and a good selection of hot and cold breakfast options. They also highlight the convenient private parking, which remains available after checkout, and the friendly, helpful staff.
