Chester Hotel Victoria occupies this spot, offering straightforward, no-frills accommodation for travellers who want to be central without paying for extras.

We had a very pleasant stay overall and found this hotel to be great value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were assigned a basement room, which was a little small and not very well ventilated, so if this is a concern, I’d recommend contacting the hotel in advance to check whether a non-basement room is available. What really stood out was the excellent service. We had four large suitcases, and one of the staff members kindly helped us carry all of them, which we really appreciated. The hotel also has a 24-hour front desk, making it very convenient to come and go at any time. If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the city rather than staying in the hotel, this is an excellent choice. It’s comfortable, affordable, and offers great value for money. I’d definitely recommend it.

I enjoyed staying at the Chester Hotel. My friend and I stayed in a double twin private room and thought that it was a great size for the two of us. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We loved and looked forward to their hospitality and greetings every night when we would get back to the hotel from being out and about for the day. The only complaint we have regarding the room was the lack of A/C and the low ventilation. The room would get stuffy and hot frequently especially due to the London heat wave while we were there which we weren’t used to as Americans but otherwise, we had a great experience and I would recommend staying here. You really can’t beat how close the hotel is to the major locations in London and the convenience of having Victoria Station right down the road only a couple blocks away.

staff are super friendly! the staff had kindly turned on the fan before our arrival so the room was chill before we came which was appreciated as we were arriving in 27 degree weather. the room was in great condition apart from some marks on the wall but nothing too crazy. the room is small but was expected and isn’t a problem if you plan to be out most of the day. bathroom was very nicely decorated and shower worked great. the location is great for sightseeing as many landmarks are in walking distance. would defo stay again !🤍

I think that some of the bad reviews this place gets are a little dramatic. The interior is dated and scuffed in some areas but it’s an old building. That happens. We booked the superior double room with an en suite bathroom for 1 night and it was fine for what we paid. The sheets were clean and the bathroom was too. The carpets and curtains and some of the furniture needed updating, but overall it was pretty good. The front desk also watched our bags until check in so we could walk around and go to the pub. The staff was super friendly and we overall enjoyed our experience. My one complaint is how hot it was in our room, but we had a fan so that helped.
