About citizenM Tower of London

The Tower of London is close enough to reach on foot, and Tower Hill station sits right by the door, making citizenM Tower of London a practical base for exploring the city's historic core and hopping across London by tube. The surrounding streets offer plenty of pubs, restaurants and eateries for evenings out without needing to travel far.

Rooms are compact but well thought out, each with a king-sized bed and simple touchscreen controls for lighting and climate. Every room has an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, and there's free WiFi throughout along with drinks available in the room. Accessible rooms are available, and lifts serve all floors.

Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar, plus a breakfast buffet to set guests up for the day, while the rooftop bar draws people up for views over the city. The hotel also offers meeting rooms and business services, luggage storage and a laundry service, and staff are on hand throughout to help with whatever guests need.

Great hotel, staff was friendly and very helpful. It has working ACs across all rooms and common areas, which is really important in the summer as London can get really hot. The room was big and spacious and really comfortable. It has direct access to the subway station (Tower Hill). The view from my room was impeccable, and even standing from the entrance of the hotel the view to Tower of London was just breathtaking. Location is great, it’s near supermarkets, restaurants and pharmacies.

The hotel is in a good location, but the street it’s in is very busy. Room was small, too small even for a couple to be comfy. The bathroom is not really separated either. View on what can be best described as a chasm and not a courtyard. Breakfast was not great. Service is absent. If you look behind the gadgets, there is better nearby for a cheaper price.

I stayed here when taking part in the London Marathon and returned 4 weeks later because the hotel is so lovely. The first time I stayed the room had amazing views of the Shard and the second time had internal views, both stays the service was excellent with the room being clean and of a high standard. Would highly recommend as the location is perfect and lovely for an evening stroll with brilliant tube links as Tower Hill station is right next door.

Extremely disappointing experience at CitizenM Tower of London. The air conditioning did not work for my entire stay, despite the staff moving me to two different rooms. Unfortunately, every room had the same issue. The staff genuinely tried their best and were courteous throughout, but it was clearly beyond their control. The only compensation offered was a 10% discount, which felt inadequate given the circumstances. Trying to sleep in a hot, airless room during summer was simply unacceptable. The rooms are already exceptionally small, and without functioning air conditioning they become very uncomfortable. What is marketed as a modern, comfortable hotel felt more like a budget hostel with premium pricing. I cannot recommend staying here during the summer unless you are prepared for the possibility of no effective air conditioning. Sadly, I will not be staying here again.
