About City View Hotel Roman Road

A free breakfast and complimentary Wi-Fi are included as standard at City View Hotel Roman Road, a no-frills base in East London for travellers who want the basics covered without extra cost. There's no in-house restaurant beyond breakfast service, but pubs, bars and eateries are all within easy reach nearby, so evening meals are simple to sort out on foot.

The 18 rooms are kept simple, with air conditioning and drinks available in-room, and it's worth noting that some rooms come with shared bathroom facilities rather than en suite ones. A garden offers a bit of outdoor space, and practical touches such as luggage storage and concierge services are on hand for guests passing through. Free on-site parking is also available, which is a genuine plus in this part of London.

The location on Roman Road puts Bethnal Green and Stepney Green Underground stations within walking distance, making it straightforward to reach the rest of the city, while entertainment options are nearby for those wanting to explore East London itself. It's an unpretentious, functional choice rather than a luxury stay.

Beautiful hotel and the man from reception was nice enough to let me make a cup of tea, the bed is nice and firm which is how I like it and it’s dressed with cosy high quality cotton bedding, I like this place because it isn’t pretentious and it makes you feel like you’re at home instead of a hotel and fellow stayers are also very friendly it had a nice down to earth vibe and they have a handy soap dispenser in the shower which has nice smelling soap which is so handy so guests don’t need to bring their own and you have nice privacy within the hotel with relaxing dim lighting in corridors so you feel like you can just be yourself unlike other hotels where they feel too open, bright and crowded like people are watching you like Travelodge for example. I’ll be extending my stay due to homely and cosy this place is. Also if you book online you get a fantastic price but due to being in a rush I just paid at reception for convenience.

Great hotel, chess in the reception to gave a sophisticated feel to this east London palace. Staff were very hygeinic using frebreeze as deoderent and air fresher. It's so refreshing to see a hotel that cares about the envrironment and their carbon footprint. 5/5 would recommend.
