About Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington

Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is a substantial 12-storey property with 833 rooms, one of the bigger hotel buildings in this part of west London. Its scale means it can accommodate large numbers of guests at once, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, family and accessible rooms, and room service throughout. Some rooms show their age and those facing the railway can pick up noise from passing trains, so it's worth requesting a quieter spot if that matters to you.

Facilities extend to a restaurant, bar and snack bar, plus a breakfast buffet offering a good range of choices. There's also a gym, business and meeting rooms, a wedding venue, laundry and concierge services, and chargeable on-site parking for those driving in. Beds are comfortable and the buffet breakfast is a consistent point in the hotel's favour.

The location on Scarsdale Place puts guests within reach of Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall and the museums of South Kensington, with the underground close by for onward travel across the city. Pubs, bars and restaurants nearby round out the practical appeal of staying here.

Really decent place to stay in a good location. It’s an old building with old fixtures but has been decently looked after. Not sure why husband paid but don’t think it was cheap. We had a family room on the 12th floor with a really amazing view of London—kids got a pullout bed in a separate room with a door between us. The layout for us was great! Location was near Design Museum and Japan House with lots of shopping on Kensington High Street. Great food places and cocktail bars near also.

Feels very much like stepping back in time which I really loved. Very old world grandeur vibes in the reception and dining area. The rooms (bathroom in particular) are a bit dated but completely functional, kept me cool during the heat wave. It seems to be a favourite of your groups though so he prepared for the wait time at breakfast if you time it wrong. I'd happily stay again. The location is great, really close to the tube and small walk from the main shops and restaurants.

First of all, let's start with the amazing staff members I have experienced in my short visit. On my arrival I was to early to check in, and met Ursula. She is a superb personality who was new to the team. She helped me to get setup for car parking and some small booking isues and was a delight to speak to (5*) As it was early me and my family set out to explore and on m return to check in I was met with the lovely pair "Akhila and Iti" aswell a super pair of people very professional, understanding and helpful. After some trouble finding my room Akhila came from behind the desk and helped me find the room without hesitation. Real nice experience. To the room: the only think I can say bad is that the air-conditioning was a bit outdated. But hey, the bed was super comfy and the hallway was quiet. And that allone is a blessing. In the morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast and after that I headed tp the checkin desk to iron some things out with carparking where Sifou helped me quickly and politely. If I am ever back in the area, this will be my go to hotel, just by the experience the staff has given me. They all deserve a treat.

My first time staying at this hotel. Very clean, I must say. Customer service, including housekeeping, was good, very friendly, and manageable. For the breakfast team, I like my food prepared a particular way. Mr. Jeeran, very humble and thoughtful, would actually take my food to the chef and have it prepared just the way I like it, always serving with a smile. The housekeeping team has done a tremendous job maintaining a high standard. I know people do not often pay attention to cleanliness, but I do. Good job, guys! The reason for giving the rooms a four-star rating is because they need to be more modernized.
