About The Park City Grand Plaza Kensington

Free on-site parking is not something many hotels in Kensington can offer, but The Park City Grand Plaza Kensington manages it, along with 62 rooms set on Lexham Gardens. The building has a garden, a lift, and the kind of straightforward comfort that suits both business trips and city breaks, with air conditioning fitted throughout to help on warmer days.

Rooms are generally spacious and well kept, with some offering larger beds for those wanting extra room to stretch out. Breakfast is served on-site, and there's a restaurant and bar for meals and drinks without needing to leave the building. Free WiFi runs throughout, and business services plus meeting rooms make it a reasonable option for work-related stays. Staff are typically friendly and attentive, though it's worth noting that management has occasionally been slow to respond to guest queries.

The location is a strong point, with public transport links close by and plenty to do in the surrounding area, including nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment. It's a practical base for exploring Kensington and the wider city, whether the visit is for sightseeing or business.

Stayed here for one night this week and it was a really brilliant stay. 20 mins walk to Olympia and lots of tube stations nearby (Earls Court, Gloucester Rd, High St Ken also not too far). Check in was easy and staff were friendly. Room 309 was a great size and bed was huge. Air con worked well and I had nothing to complain about at all. I asked for a last minute late checkout due to having some work calls, and the team sorted it with no questions asked. Fantastic service. Thank you!

The location is excellent, with plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and cafes nearby. Piccadilly Circus is just an hour's walk away. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful (helpful early in the morning and late at night). They maintained the amenities and always delivered coffee and water on time. The rooms were very clean, as was the entire hotel.

My wife and I stayed here over valentines weekend whilst spending time in London. Check in was super smooth, id completed an online check in already and bonus that our room was ready early which is always good. Upon arriving in the room my wife was happy as I'd ordered flowers to the room, this was made extra special with petals on the bed and a valentines heart pillow. Thank you very much. The hotel room was basic but fairly clean, it was quite dated. The room was quite warm for us and we couldn't see any temperature controls nor any radiators to make it more comfortable, so tried the window, which was big, heavy, wooden and old, I struggled to open it at first and quickly realised it wouldn't stay open so wedged it with a bottle of water to let some air in. Room size was massive, almost with a separate dressing area outside the bathroom which was also of good size and good shower and extras like razors etc. In terms of comfort the bed was rock hard and the pillows were soft, my wife requested a extra quilt to help soften the bed which was promptly delivered. The area around the hotel seemed fairly quiet at night, only some noise from the sainsbury's vans based at the rear of our room but nothing out of the ordinary. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on that. The hotel is in a very nice area, close to Gloucester Rd and South Kensington underground stations although we found Uber to be more convenient for our needs. Overall paying the best part of £300 for 2 nights without breakfast was expensive in my eyes but for London its probably about right. I think we would certainly stay again if we were visiting London for any reason.

Stayed here with family in early December and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The biggest issue was the shower water being dangerously scalding hot for the duration of our stay, making it unsafe to use properly. We reported it and received an apology, along with assurances the issue was being addressed — however, nothing changed. It’s difficult to understand how a serious safety issue like this could occur in a supposed 4-star hotel and not be resolved immediately. We also had money stolen from our luggage (inside a birthday card). We had become accustomed to not locking our bags, as we had never experienced theft from a hotel room before. On check-in, we were asked to sign a waiver stating the hotel was not responsible for thefts, which immediately made us uncomfortable. In hindsight, this did not inspire confidence. To make matters worse, we attempted to contact management multiple times via the confirmed hotel email address after checkout regarding these issues, but received no response whatsoever (on partners email address). Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and poorly handled from start to finish. The only positive aspect was the location. We would not recommend this hotel and would never return.
