About Durrants Hotel
Walk into a room at Durrants Hotel and the mood is set straight away: en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and a decidedly traditional English character that guests often compare to a gentleman's club. There are 92 rooms in total, housed within a Georgian building on George Street in Greater London, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. Room service is on hand for anyone who prefers not to venture out.
Downstairs, the hotel has its own restaurant and bar, along with breakfast served on site, so meals are easy to arrange without leaving the building. Practical extras include free WiFi, a lift, laundry service, luggage storage, porter and concierge services, and airport parking or transfer arrangements. The hotel also caters for weddings and can arrange childcare, making it workable for a range of stays beyond the simple overnight visit.
The location puts guests within reach of London Marylebone, useful for onward travel around the capital. Durrants Hotel suits those after a characterful, old-school base in central London rather than a modern chain feel.

What guests say
We hosted our wedding reception at Durrants Hotel and stayed for several days afterwards, and honestly, I can’t fault a single thing about the experience. The service was outstanding from start to finish — every member of staff we dealt with was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. The chef’s food was exceptional; I’d recommend him without hesitation. We were also lucky enough to have a beautiful room that stayed perfectly cool throughout, even during the London heatwave. Dylan at the bar was also fantastic - he made the evening drinks even better!

A last minute booking and the perfect location for our weekend plans. Check in was smooth and the room was a good size and comfortable. The only downside was the temperature - even with the Dyson fan provided the room was so warm it made sleeping well difficult. The bar area was nice and we enjoyed a drink there before heading out - unfortunately smoke from the smokers outside on the terrace drifted in. Cakes and biscuits were available in the lobby but sadly we had no time to partake! Next time maybe...

Wonderful hotel, where we hosted our wedding guests for a long weekend. Very charming, traditional, cosy decor that is beautifully presented, with gorgeous lounges to relax in. The restaurant at the hotel is super nice, and dinner was very delicious and well presented. Location is excellent, and the staff always very friendly and welcoming. All in all, fabulous place to stay in Central London! Highly recommend :)

Beware, no air-con. As a very old building, the walls absorb the sun during the day and keep the room scorching hot during the night, providing no respite. The tiles in the bathroom were so hot, it felt like floor heating was on. I couldn't sleep the entire night, and at 6 month pregnant, was worried for my health.
