About Hilton London Kensington Hotel

Holland Park Avenue provides the backdrop for the Hilton London Kensington Hotel, a large 601-room property set along one of west London's leafier stretches, within reach of Holland Park itself, Olympia London and the Westfield shopping centre. With seven floors and a lift throughout, it's built for volume without losing the convenience of good transport links nearby.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, free WiFi and room service, with accessible rooms also available; some are showing their age and maintenance can be inconsistent, so it's worth setting expectations accordingly. Breakfast is a strong point, with a wide spread on offer, and there's also a restaurant, a bar, and room service for those who'd rather stay in. A gym, spa and sauna are on site, alongside business and meeting facilities, concierge services and laundry.

Staff are consistently helpful, which smooths over the practical business of a stay here. Pets are welcome, chargeable on-site parking is available, and pubs, bars and restaurants can all be found nearby for evenings out beyond the hotel itself.

I was at this hotel facility for 5 nights and everything was wonderful except for the room size. I paid for an upgraded room and it was still very tight, difficult to move around. The bathroom is outdated, the tub is very high I slipped and almost hurt myself. I think the hotel should be updated; there’s no outlet by the bed for your phone etc. however, the housekeeping was excellent. My room was cleaned everyday with the beddings changed at least twice throughout my stay, and the housekeeping lady was very pleasant. I can’t say enough about the concierge, their customer service exceeds that which I have ever experienced even in 5 star hotels in the States. The concierge team knocked my socks off! They were very kind, ready to assist, and were not hounding me for a tip, (although I did tip to show my appreciation after I checked out), but they delivered their services with joy and utmost professionalism. The location is excellent! This is one of the most accessible locations have stayed since I’ve been visiting London. It’s a 5 minutes walk from The Westfield Mall by Shepherds Bush. The mall is humongous with great dining choices from fine dining to fast food. I didn’t eat the hotel food so I don’t know how it tasted. GThe mall also has varieties of stores, from high end luxury like Dior, Tiffany’s, Gucci etc to M&S, Primark, Boots etc. A few minutes from Knightsbridge etc I gave a 4 star because of the awkward room size and dated room every other thing was great.

I stayed for four nights during a business trip. The hotel’s location is very convenient — while it’s about 30 minutes from central London, both the Underground and bus stations are less than a five-minute walk away. A major shopping center, Westfield London, is also nearby, which is great for shopping and dining. The hotel offers a rich and varied breakfast, and the lobby restaurant has a good menu with reasonable prices. The room size is very good compared to many other London hotels, which was definitely a plus. The only downside was the soundproofing between rooms, which could be improved, as noise from neighboring rooms was noticeable. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay, especially for business travel.

Our stay at the Hilton London Kensington Hotel on Holland Park Avenue was extremely disappointing and far below what we expected from a hotel that Hilton considers a 4-star property. We stayed for 15 nights, booked 4 rooms, and paid approximately $15,600. Unfortunately, the experience was more comparable to a budget motel than a luxury hotel. The service was consistently poor. Whenever we requested towels or other basic amenities, they would only arrive after several reminders, often taking half a day. Housekeeping was equally disappointing. The rooms were never properly vacuumed, the bedsheets and pillowcases were never changed during our stay, and it appeared that staff simply ironed the comforter to make the bed look fresh. Cups and glasses in the room were never washed, so we had to clean them ourselves. Even the coffee mug in the room was cracked and was never replaced despite remaining there throughout our stay. The bathroom mats were also never replaced. The rooms were very small, and the air conditioning barely worked. The rooms felt like furnaces, and we had to request table fans just to make them somewhat bearable. The toilet flush would only work once, after which we had to wait about 10 minutes before it could be used again. The bed quality was also terrible. Every time we moved, the beds creaked loudly, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. We woke up every morning with body aches due to the poor-quality mattresses. As a couple, we intentionally booked a room with two single beds because it appeared slightly larger than the room with one queen bed. However, the beds constantly slid apart because the wheel locks did not work properly, making the sleeping arrangement even more uncomfortable. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was poor. The hallways had a persistent unpleasant odor, and balls of lint remained on the carpet for days, indicating they were rarely vacuumed. Breakfast was another disappointment. The menu was virtually identical every day with no variety. The pre-made fried eggs were rubbery and cold, so we had to order freshly cooked eggs each morning and wait a considerable amount of time for them. Although there were croissants, bread, and pastries, they were exactly the same every day with no effort to offer any variety. Overall, this hotel does not provide the level of service, cleanliness, comfort, or maintenance expected of a 4-star property. Considering the premium rates charged, our stay was a major disappointment, and I would not recommend the Hilton London Kensington Hotel to anyone expecting Hilton's usual standards. Hilton should seriously reconsider classifying this property as a 4-star hotel until significant improvements are made.

Superb collection, min walk from the High St and tube station. Very safe area with greats cafes and restaurants. Rooks are basic and small but for the price it's fine. Great air con as temperatures reached 33deg. Pool was fine. Bar staff and conceirge were pretty poor and couldn't help with basic questions about hotelz facilities and area. Reception staff, fast and efficient. Overall is was a fine hotel and I would return...I'd upgrade my room for a better experience
