About Kensington Court by CAPITAL

Kensington High Street and its shops are a short walk from Kensington Court by CAPITAL, and Hyde Park is close enough for an afternoon stroll. The surrounding streets are well stocked with pubs, restaurants and other eateries, so there's little need to travel far for an evening out.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi, with family rooms available for those travelling in a group. A kitchen and business services add practical value, whether you're self-catering for a few days or working during your stay. A lift serves all floors, and the 24 hour reception can help with luggage storage on arrival or departure.

It's a no-frills base rather than a destination in itself, well placed for exploring central London on foot or by transport links nearby.

DON'T do it! I was very disappointed with these apartments, but not surprised based the mix of reviews. We stayed for 7 nights (Flat 10-listed as Superior Apartment on Expedia). I find it easier to break down my review in a Pro and Cons list. Pros: They allowed us to drop off our luggage early in our assigned flat. The housekeeper cleaned everything well, except there was black mold in the shower. Elevator Flat 11 looked like the pictures on the website. 24/7 police presence next door because of the consulate. Close to the Tube and Whole Foods. Cons: Flat 10 looked 10 years older than the pictures on the website. We received only one key fob to our room. No frying pan in Flat 10. Asked for one and it took 4 days to receive. Missed matched cups and a ton of plastic items. No replacement trash bags. Asked for some and received it 2+ days later. Never received extra toilet paper, but we found the housekeeping closet. No paper towels. No complimentary coffee, tea, or water as described on webpage and information emailed to us. Luckily, I asked the housekeeper when we dropped off our luggage for a hairdryer. The living room air conditioner was not functioning upon our arrival during an extreme heat wave in London. We reported the issue immediately, but it took more than three days for the unit to be repaired. The television would frequently lose its connection or stop working when someone sat on the left side of the living room. It appeared that a person's presence may have been obstructing the Wi-Fi signal required for the television to function properly. Curtains and shades were falling off in the living room. Communication with staff was consistently difficult. When we called the virtual front desk, staff often did not seem to know who we were or which apartment building we were calling about. The chat feature was unreliable, and managers we spoke with in person were frequently unaware of the issues we had previously reported. The washing machine malfunctioned because it would not drain properly, causing the door to remain locked. It took approximately two days for staff to access and open the machine while we were away. Several personal towels that had been inside the washer were never returned. Because there was no note, notification, or indication that the machine remained out of service, we reasonably assumed the issue had been resolved and attempted to wash another load before checkout. The washer again failed to drain and remained locked with our clothing inside. After initially being chastised for using the machine, a nice man was sent to manually drain it and retrieve our clothes. He then arranged for us to use the washing machine in Flat 11 by having the manager provide the necessary key. During the remainder of our trip, we stayed for another week in the UK and used two additional apartment rentals as well as several hotels. In comparison, the accommodations and overall service at High Street Kensington Apartments were noticeably below the standard (subpar is being generous) of the other properties where we stayed.

Good location, bathroom not clean, kitchen no glassware - only plastic cups - bedding for 4 people was one double and a sofa bed - sofa bed only fit for 1 person even then not comfortable. Could hear people in flat above running around. Had a leak with washer dryer - repair was tape - which did not fix issue. Very budget

Property advertising as having city views and ours was in a basement with views of the bins. Poorly maintained and not well equipped.Very dirty and food waste left.Old scourers and no bin bags. Had to buy soap and wash cloths. Asked for a tea towel and got paper towels as apparently they are easier to clean. Very noisy drainage system which kept me awake. Tried to deal with the management company but they didn’t seem interested and fobbed me off until we had left. Its next door to the Iranian Consulate too so plenty of Armed Protection Officers on the door steps. Lift was broken so had to carry heavy bags down the stairs. Had people knocking on the door asking where the bins were ! Its a great location but they clearly didn’t care about their guests. Now trying to get a refund!! Shower was also scaled up and not functioning as it should. 8 emails and no joy . We even had to pay for a second room as the one we booked was not as described by Booking.Com on their listing page. Now dealing with them too. Avoid them and book a hotel! Kensington is lovely!! 51 Kensington Court could be lovely if only they cared !!

Do not book unless you are desperate! The apartments are in a very well appointed area but this is next to lots of diplomatic consulate buildings which have many armed protection units 24/7 and there are many police units and vehicles outside at all times. The apartment we had was advertised erroneously as being luxury and elite and having city views. It was none of them ! We had to carry bags down a flight of stairs below ground level to a basement flat with views of the refuse bins which were regularly accessed by others outside of the main window. Property is not well maintained and poorly equipped. We asked for simple things like cups, glasses and a tea towel or something to clean the dishes but nothing was provided. We has to ask for more towels. Shower was not functioning correctly,no fire blankets, toilet seat was broken, lamps were in disrepair. Kitchen was dirty as was the minimal provision of pans and crockery. Food in oven and dirty work surfaces. Drainage system pumps were outside of the bedroom door. Curtains were in disrepair. Heater had on leg missing. Nothing appeared to be pat tested. Certainly no regular quality assurance checks. Management ignored our concerns and fobbed us off until we left. No management are on site except for access on arrival. We have asked for a refund and they are refusing. Kensington is a lovely area so use a hotel that is recognised. Do not believe all the reviews as I suspect they are not biased. Heed our warnings…buyer beware !
