About Melia London Kensington a Melia Collection Hotel
Walk into a room at Melia London Kensington a Melia Collection Hotel and you'll find a clean, well-presented space with air conditioning, a stocked drinks selection, and decent bath products laid on for the stay. Rooms are decorated with care rather than left generic, though some are on the compact side, so this suits guests who value polish over sprawling square footage. Room service is available for anyone who prefers not to leave their floor at all.
Downstairs, the hotel runs to a restaurant and bar, breakfast service, and kids meals for families travelling together. There's a gym on-site for keeping up a routine, meeting rooms for those combining business with the trip, and staff on hand at the concierge desk who are frequently singled out for going out of their way to help. Luggage storage and free WiFi cover the practical side of things.
The address on Gloucester Road puts guests close to a tube station, making it straightforward to reach Kensington Gardens and the rest of London without much fuss. The surrounding streets have their own pubs, restaurants and eateries within easy walking distance, so there's no need to venture far for an evening meal after a day of sightseeing.
What guests say
Fantastic location, close to the larger museums. Perfect for our family. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Carolina was simply outstanding and even remembered the little details. The room was large for London and considering the good value for money. Will definitely consider staying at this hotel/chain in the future.

Hospitality and genuine care are truly second to none here. It isn’t just the exceptionally clean rooms, great service, the handwritten thank-you notes, or the thoughtful little touches such as the sweet treats that make this hotel so special. What really sets it apart is the way the staff look after their guests, especially when something doesn’t go to plan. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, you are made to feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The team go above and beyond to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and their kindness and professionalism leave a lasting impression. Wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.

Our experience was (surprisingly) negative. We had several issues with the hotel staff: housekeeping not completed and room left unclean/undone despite “make the room” door sign; too long waiting time to have a seat at breakfast; very rude and unpolite staff behavoiur at breakfast, pushing us to vacate the table (!); bellboy insistently asking for tips. Conclusion: we have not received the level of service and comfort expected from a brand like this, and for a price like that!

I had a wonderful stay at Meliá London Kensington, a member of the Meliá Collection. The hotel is elegant, clean, and very comfortable, with a great location and excellent facilities. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding hospitality and professionalism of the staff. I would like to especially thank Adel for his remarkable kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. Thank you to the entire team for such a pleasant and memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.
