About Mermaid Suite Hotel
Rooms at the Mermaid Suite Hotel are a straightforward, comfortable affair: en-suite bathrooms, comfortable beds and more space than many central London hotels manage, with drinks available in the room and family rooms on offer for those travelling together. Consistency can vary, though, as some rooms are better kept than others, so it is worth flagging any issues with the front desk if your room falls short.
The hotel sits on Blenheim Street, within easy reach of Marylebone and Oxford Street, making it a practical base for shopping trips or a few days of sightseeing in the capital. There's a restaurant on site, free WiFi throughout, luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures, and a 24 hour reception to cover odd check-in times. Staff are generally helpful and friendly, though service has occasionally been reported as inconsistent.
Beyond the hotel doors, the surrounding streets offer plenty of choice for eating out, with pubs, bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance. For anyone wanting a central London stay without the West End price tag, the Mermaid Suite Hotel offers fair value and a genuinely convenient location.

Sorry to say but just not 3 star worthy. Hottest weekend of the year and a tiny desk fan given just boiled to death. NO SOAP in bathroom never mind shower gel!! No bathroom ventialltion.Windows open but blinds had to be fully closed due to people looking in so no air there. Building work in nearby hotels including screaming machinery until 3Am!! NO SLEEP AT ALL. Surely guests should be warned about nearby very late night work!! Clean but very shabby. Handprint in brown on ceiling! Do not book if you have a bad back, Legs, or chest millions of stairs with no heat relief!! Disapointed for the money. The third star is for the fab location. So sad

Excellent location, around the corner from Bond Street and Oxford Street. The room was clean and well equipped, tv, kettle and ensuite bathroom. The bed was comfortable too and the gentleman at the desk very friendly The hotel is slightly outdated (not luxury at all, budget accommodation) but it's not a problem, it adds to the charm!

Mermaid Hotel decided to cancel my booking 1 day before arrival without telling anyone! I only found out by ringing them to confirm as they ignored my recent message (despite confirming the booking by message 4 months ago!) They then decided to inform Booking.com AFTER I rang them. Shocking.

When we got to the place there was no clear entrance and the reception was no reception. It was just a small tiny room with a bunch of bags piled on the side. The service was to be honest bad. If I wouldn’t have paid for it already I would have not came back. One of the rooms didn’t have warm water. On the room we couldn’t flush the toilet as it didn’t work properly. The other room was okay. The only positive thing was the location. I wouldn’t come back here and I wouldn’t advise it to any of my friends, family or colleagues.
