NOX HOTELS - Kensington

Staff were very polite, and were always on hand and available if needed. The room could do with some work on the flooring and in the bathroom but overall very nice. Location was amazing with a 5 minute walk to the station and less than 30 minutes on the tube into central london. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed at this property from 18–20 June, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing for several reasons. 1. Air conditioning We were only informed upon arrival that the air conditioning was broken, despite it being listed as an amenity. During our two-night stay, we were told every day that someone would come to inspect or repair it, but nothing was ever fixed. We had to spend both nights without air conditioning. 2. Kitchen paper towels The purple kitchen paper towels provided in the room left purple dye on our hands whenever we used them. This was quite concerning, so I would recommend other guests use them with caution. 3. Kitchen cabinet design The kitchen cabinets are very shallow, causing cups and plates to extend beyond the edge of the shelves. It would be easy to accidentally knock something over while taking items out, and guests could end up being charged for any damage. Please be extra careful. Overall, the biggest issue was not simply that the air conditioning was broken, but that we were not informed before arrival and were repeatedly told it would be repaired, yet nothing changed throughout our stay.

Our stay at NOX Kensington exceeded all our expectations. The hotel was spotless, very comfortable, and perfectly located with great transport connections to explore London easily. One of the best features was the kitchenette — it truly made our trip so much better. On evenings when we came back tired, we were able to have a relaxed dinner in the room, watch TV, and unwind peacefully. Having a toaster, electric kettle, and a coffee machine with capsules available was such a great touch, and it allowed us to start some mornings with breakfast in the room before heading out. The room was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, and we slept wonderfully every night. Overall, a 10/10 experience. We would absolutely stay here again!

We had a really difficult time sleeping on our first night at NOX Kensington. It was unbearably hot in the room, on the top/third floor, which isn't the fault of the hotel. The weather in England has been so incredibly hot. But it was ... awful. We were unable to sleep. So we went downstairs, and talked to the guy at the front desk. He said, "Let me see what we can do," and he put us in an air-conditioned room at the basement level. He could have just shrugged and said, "well, that's the room you paid for -- a room with a fan and no A/C." But he didn't. It was great customer service, and the room we were given worked out just great. Thanks for caring!
