About Premier Inn London Paddington - Paddington Basin
Paddington Station is close enough to reach on foot from Premier Inn London Paddington - Paddington Basin, making this a practical base for exploring the rest of the capital by tube or rail. The surrounding streets offer a good spread of pubs, bars and restaurants for evenings in, and the wider transport links mean the West End and beyond are within easy reach.
The hotel itself spans 19 floors and holds 393 rooms, including family and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. Rooms are generally spacious and some offer city views, though a number of guests have noted that maintenance can be inconsistent in places, so standards may vary between rooms. Breakfast is served on site and is a regular highlight, with a restaurant and bar also available for other meals and drinks.
Other conveniences include 24-hour reception, lift access, luggage storage and an electric vehicle charge point, while parking is available nearby on a chargeable basis, including a car park a short walk from the hotel. It suits travellers who want a straightforward, well-connected stay near one of London's main stations.
What guests say
We stayed here for four nights. So many choices in our price range so we took a chance on this hotel and have no regrets whatsoever. Pros: location, staff customer service, restaurant and bar. It’s obvious Premier Inns really trains their staff to be customer service oriented. The bar and restaurant downstairs have a nice atmosphere. Location to subway and shopping is great too. Cons: not a complaint but the rooms aren’t as good as the service. Just a regular room. Clean with a comfortable bed, that was consistent with the price we paid. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Not the best Premier Inn, the rooms are dirty and tired, disappointing quality compared to many excellent Premier Inns I have stayed at. Pros; Friendly and welcoming staff, both at reception and the restaurant. breakfast good, wide selection. Good location, 10mins walk from Paddington station/undergrounds and right next to Paddington Basin/Wharf area with good waterfront restaurants Cons; Room dusty with scratches and chips on furniture and walls, mould on windows and frames, stains on tables, old mirrors, ineffective cleaning, dirt all along skirting boards and surfaces. Not good enough, in my opinion, for a large hotel chain and well below the standard in their other hotels.

My first review was removed, lost, or perhaps not posted. So I am posting my review for a second time now. On our last night, my two girlfriends and I had arrived at the hotel late and started packing our belongings up for the next day early in the morning when we got a knock at the door, with a man we hadn’t seen before, taller, tanned, with a beard and a walkie-talkie, who barely looked like he worked for the hotel (no name tags, no company colours, not even a security badge). He belittled my friend when she opened the door and mocked her for speaking in a soft voice, cut her off as she spoke, and told us he had to kick one of us out of our room at 1AM solely because we were “too loud” and had three women in a hotel room which was against policy, a policy that we hadn’t known about before booking. When we obviously argued with him telling us one of us had to leave, we asked him what we should do, his reply was “not my problem”. As three young women here to travel, we were absolutely mortified, scared, and disgusted by this. We were completely appalled and at the end of this whole interaction, he made us line up in front of him, in our room, and made us promise we would be quiet. As someone who has worked in the service and hotel industry, conflict between guests and staff should NOT be handled like this, no matter where you are from or where you are staying. This is absolutely unacceptable and incredibly worrying, as this man had little to no regard or empathy for potentially sending young women to the streets late at night. I am extremely disappointed, distraught, and absolutely furious at the treatment towards us as we were simply trying to pack up quickly and settle in for the night when we had our safety threatened. As someone who should reinforce rules and procedures in a hotel, there were many better ways to handle our situation and he did so extremely poorly. We understand that we were being loud, however that DOES NOT mean that we should be kicked out of the hotel at 1 in the morning in a foreign city like London. Absolutely ridiculous, deplorable, The only redeeming part of all this was that a woman at the front desk we talked to while checking out was helpful, understanding, kind towards us, and was determined to investigate our situation.

I've just stayed here for the weekend and got back yesterday. I have to say that the staff were excellent, we booked a family room so a double and two singles and were on the fourth floor. We had a nice size bathroom with a rainfall shower over a bath. There were bayliss and harding shower gels on the wall but no shampoo or conditioners so bring your own. We had plenty of towels bit after four of us had been through the shower water was everywhere. I went to reception to ask for more towels and pillows and we were given two towels straight away and then two extra pillows were brought up to the room about 10 mins later. Yes the room came with extra pillows but the kids wanted them. There was a hairdryer in the room which did the job (I'm not an expert in hairdryers but the girls liked it) We only had breakfast at the hotel which was buffet style and had the usual full English but there were some pastries, you could have toast, yogurt with fruit, cereal, teas and coffees so a good selection available. It was busy Sunday morning but we didn't have to wait and Monday morning was a bit quieter. The two ladies that were the hostess were brilliant and really helpful. Paddington station is only a quick 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel and is actually really nice past the canal. There are so e food trucks and a massive M&S nearby if you want to grab something for your day in London. I would absolutely stay here again as it's location is perfect and the staff wonderful.
