About Rhodes Hotel

Rhodes Hotel occupies a townhouse building on Sussex Gardens, one of 36 rooms fitted into a classic London terrace conversion just a short walk from Paddington Station. It's a practical base for anyone wanting to be near the transport links without paying West End prices, and the free on-site parking is an unusual bonus for this part of town.

Rooms come with air conditioning in many cases, along with the usual comforts of free WiFi and a lift to reach upper floors. Some rooms run on the smaller side and maintenance can be patchy, so this suits guests after a straightforward, no-frills stay rather than a polished boutique experience. Breakfast is served on-site, and there's a restaurant, garden, gym, and spa with sauna for those who want to make use of the building beyond just sleeping.

Laundry service and luggage storage make it workable for longer stays or stopovers, and the hotel also takes on weddings. Outside the front door, Sussex Gardens and the wider Paddington area offer pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy walking distance, with an indoor swimming pool also available nearby.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location was perfect, with easy access to public transportation and many of London’s main attractions. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here recently and overall the experience was ok. They offer to hold your bags if you arrive early before check-ins and also after checkin. Check in for us was meant to be 2.30pm but we were kept waiting until nearly 4pm. The rooms are basic but it was nice that it had AC. Bathroom was good and showers had good pressure. It comes with free WiFi but sometimes the connection wasn’t great. Overall it was fine if you just need the basic necessities. The price was cheap and the location was great as it was near Paddington station. Only advice is that front office experience could be better. The waiting room was quite cluttered and we could see lots of paper trash beside their desks which was not a great first impression when walking in.

Much appreciated for Vivian's kind support. She helped me to carry the large luggage to the 2nd floor. The double room of the other building is clean and tidy. The air con really saved my life in hot wave. It's also close to Paddington's Elizabeth line to/from airport. Pleasant stay.

Pleasant at reception, albeit a bit messy. Not sure why they have to take a damage deposit as everything in the room looked about 30 years old. Fortunately there was air conditioning which was a life saver and the location is pretty decent to the tube and paddington.
