What guests say
My first time visiting The Bedford and I was pleasantly surprised. I met with a friend for a pre event evening meal. The food was reasonably good, however while the souvlaki was nice, for the price, the skewers of lamb were scarce (3 small skewers), too much tzaziki and only green salad. It have been nice to have more salad variety and colour to make the meal less one dimensional. My friend had fish and chips. The chips were a bit overcooked, as was the fish batter. Now the moan is out of the way, time for praise... the staff were attentive, friendly without being overbearing and Arnie, Andrew and Adam in particular, looked after us very well. The event (acrylic painting by Tiperley) was great fun, interactive and informative. Thank you Ross. The venue was a 'tardis' full of interesting spaces, rooms and nooks and cranies around every corner. My friend had to leave earlier than me, but the triple A's ensured I felt at ease and safe to remain on my own to continue enjoying my evening. I'll be back for another event ... probably the one of the comedy club nights next.

I had the pleasure of attending a live music evening at The Bedford and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful — full of character and charm, and the stage and lighting create a really appealing, intimate atmosphere that perfectly complements live performances. The organiser/presenter was also lovely, making the evening feel warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated. The highlight of the night for me was Cosima and her band, but all three music acts were very good, each bringing something unique to the stage. All in all, it was a most enjoyable and genuinely fun evening. I would happily return for another event there and highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates great live music in a beautiful setting.

Must say I love this place. In town for a few days to visit a cousin who lives in Balham. First the staff is so welcoming.. nothing is a problem.. The beds so comfortable. Love the rain showers. Hot water never a problem. The food is tasty and 30% off for hotel guests.. Finally, great entertainment venue with a great crowd . Highly recommend!
