About The Cavendish London
Jermyn Street runs through the heart of St James's, lined with tailors, shops and restaurants, and it's here that The Cavendish London makes its home. Piccadilly Circus and Green Park are both within easy reach, putting the hotel at the centre of one of London's most walkable and well-connected districts, with entertainment, pubs and restaurants all close by.
The hotel has 230 rooms, generally described as clean, comfortable and well-proportioned, with air conditioning and free WiFi throughout. There's a lift for easier access to all floors, and porter and concierge services on hand for guests who need help with luggage or local recommendations. A restaurant and bar operate on site, alongside meeting rooms and business services for those travelling for work.
Breakfast is a particular strength, with a substantial buffet on offer each morning. Valet parking is available on site, a genuine convenience in a part of London where parking is otherwise difficult to come by. Staff are consistently noted for being helpful and professional, adding a level of service that suits both business trips and weekend stays in the city.
What guests say
My deposit was withheld for over five days with no explanation. When I called, I was hung up on twice and was told by a staff member she “doesn’t get paid enough to explain.” Management did nothing meaningful — if I hadn’t chased it myself, I wouldn’t have gotten my money back. No apologies, no accountability, just a “won’t happen again” comment. Completely unprofessional and very disappointing.

My stay at The Cavendish was excellent. The location, room, cleanliness, and overall service were truly outstanding. However, the lighting in the room at night was extremely poor. There were only small side lamps and a desk light, which made the room feel dark and gloomy. I mentioned this to the reception as well. Another point is the lack of power outlets beside the bed; the only outlet available was far away near the desk, which is very inconvenient for charging phones at night. I really loved the hotel, but these two issues would make me reconsider booking again. Everything else was perfect.

Great location, nice spacious rooms. It's a little pricey, but not unrealistic for this part of London. Staff were excellent across all aspects. Reception, concierge, car valet, room service. Breakfast was superb, the only thing I'd change about breakfast is the bacon. They use streaky bacon, just cooked, it's better crispy. Or better still English back bacon is a better choice. (I'm ex breakfast chef) Thistle hotels. Overall a really nice stay and I'd visit and stay again for Theatre shows.
