About Hotel Cafe Royal

Hotel Cafe Royal suits those planning a special stay in the centre of London rather than a quick overnight stop: a wedding, an anniversary, or simply a trip where the hotel itself is part of the point. Set on Regent Street, it puts guests within easy reach of the West End's shops, theatres and restaurants, with plenty more dining and entertainment nearby.

The 160 rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and room service, and there are family and accessible rooms alongside a bridal suite and VIP facilities for those marking an occasion. Guests can expect attentive, well-drilled service throughout, from porters and concierge to valet parking and airport transfers. Elsewhere in the hotel there's a spa and sauna, an indoor swimming pool, a gym, and meeting rooms and business services for anyone mixing work with the stay. Pets are welcome, and childcare can be arranged.

Food is a genuine highlight, with a restaurant and bar known for generous, well-cooked dishes including steaks and sandwiches, plus an afternoon tea served amid grand, elegant interiors with live piano music. Breakfast and packed lunches are available, and drinks can be brought straight to the room. It's a hotel built around comfort and occasion, right in the heart of the city.

If I could give this more stars I would! I had the most amazing afternoon tea at the cafe royal. To start with, the venue is incredible. The decor is so fine with the most amount of gold I’ve ever seen. The tables are nicely spaced out so you have time for yourself. The service was brilliant too. Sometimes walking into these kinds of establishments you can be treated a certain way - but not here. We were treated with such patience and kindness. The afternoon tea we had matched the greatness of everything else. Every part of it was truly delicious. We had a particular obsession for the egg sandwich. I highly recommend a visit!

The Grill room was a great experience we were so well looked after by the team nothing was any trouble to them The food was excellent the roast beef was cooked perfectly The strawberries were delicious The restaurant takes you back in time full of mirrors and gold leaf. I would highly recommend. A great destination for a traditional Sunday Roast Next time I will try the afternoon tea that looked delicious.

Highly recommended if you would like to experience upscale English high tea. Sandwiches were light yet tasty. The scones were moist and rich. The pastries were sophisticated and amazing. Not the cheapest. But it was a memorable experience. We had similarly-priced afternoon tea at the Shard Shangri-La, for which I would give two stars. This place is a clear winner.

I had a wonderful lunch at Café Royal in London, with a grand and elegant interior that makes the whole experience feel very special. The piano music was wonderful and created a beautiful atmosphere that really added to the charm of the room. The service was polished, warm, and attentive, and the food was generally very good and nicely presented, although my steak was a little gummy for my taste. Even with that small detail, I still really enjoyed my time there and loved the mix of history, luxury, and live music. I highly recommend Café Royal for a stylish lunch in central London and would be happy to return
