About The Cherry Rooms

Mile End Road puts The Cherry Rooms within easy reach of a nearby tube station, making it a straightforward base for exploring London, while restaurants, pubs and bars sit right on the doorstep for anyone who fancies staying local in the evening.

The property has 13 rooms, each with air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom and drinks available, plus family rooms for those travelling with children. There's free WiFi throughout, a 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals, and a bar downstairs with a lively atmosphere that suits guests who enjoy some buzz rather than a quiet night in. Staff are noted for being friendly and accommodating, which goes some way to balancing the fact that some rooms show their age and could do with better upkeep.

There's no parking on site, so it suits guests arriving by public transport rather than by car. Given its location and prices, it works well as a no-frills option for exploring London's attractions, with entertainment, eateries and drinking spots all close by.

Excellent value for money and the staff are so friendly and accommodating! We had issues which meant we had to check in early and the staff dealt with it wonderfully. It’s really close to Mile End station so we were able to travel easily in and out of the centre. Room was great given the price and even had aircon which was a lifesaver in the heat. We were worried with it being above a bar that it may have gotten a little rowdy in the evenings but we honestly didn’t even notice it. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an affordable stay in London. Thank you so much!

Perfect spot for a long weekend on a budget. The place is cozy, the employees are very nice. There is a nice pub below. Important note: there is no hotel service before 3pm. So don't plan to leave your luggage in storage while you're gone visiting the first day you arrive.

I'd stay there again, but a mixed experience... I'll start with some big pluses. Convenient, short walk from the Mile End tube station; an easy spot while in London for biz. A very pleasant walkable neighborhood; shops, restaurants, and a large parks/gardens. The hotel sits on the site of a historic hotel with a19th Century Garden, a popular destination at the time. The adjacent Regents Canal (with narrow boats and hand oprated locks) path and park makes for nice strolls. The rooms are over a lively pub, but no noise issues. The rooms a are bit small, but "space capsuling" is fairly normal for rooms in this price range in larger cities. The toilet, directly in front of the sink, was a stretch (pun intened). The otherwise modern shower was stuck at the hottest setting, the knob did nothing. I had to get creative with a jug and do camping washes. Otherwise clean and comfortable. I wonder if the rooms are an afterthought for the pub, and hotel guests are somewhat of an annoyance. Example: this is the only hotel, in decades of travel in 30+ countries that refused to hold a bag until checkin time. I pondered, that surely the staff, who kept me outside the door in the rain, was instructed not to come up with solutions, or didn't care. Whatever. An odd mix, but overall decent for the price. And try the Smoke End steakhouse nearby: amazing.

A great little find! Amazing value for money. Rooms have a little wear and tear, but you're not staying at The Ritz. You get what you pay for!! Lovely staff, great central location. Our go to for when we stay in London. Staff helped store my friend's wheelchair also, with no hesitation. The pub downstairs is great too. Have stayed here 4 times now, and it will always be my first choice whenever I am in London for a stay.
