About Travelodge London Mile End

Travelogde London Mile End is a modern, four-floor building set along Mile End Road, built for practical budget stays rather than architectural flourish. It houses 158 rooms with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and family options, all served by a lift and 24-hour reception. Pets are welcome, and the straightforward design keeps things simple for anyone passing through the capital.

A restaurant and bar on site cover breakfast and evening meals, with drinks available in the room too, while an electric vehicle charge point and accessible rooms round out the practical offer. Parking isn't on site, but chargeable options can be found nearby, including Minories Car Park, a walk of some distance away, with Tower Hill and Stepney Green underground stations both close by for those without a car.

The location suits visitors heading to Queen Mary University or Mile End Park, and Central London is within easy reach by Tube. Rooms are kept clean and staff are consistently described as helpful, making this a solid, no-frills base, though some guests have noted the air conditioning doesn't always work as it should.

Very disappointing experience at Travelodge London Mile End. After checking into our allocated room and settling in, we received a call from reception several hours later asking us to return to the hotel and move rooms. As tourists visiting London, we had already made plans for the day, and it is neither convenient nor reasonable to expect guests to interrupt their schedule and travel back across the city due to poor room allocation and planning. The following day, we were moved to another room, but the condition of the room was unacceptable. There were visible red/blood-like stains on the carpet, raising serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. When we requested an alternative room, the hotel was unable to provide one. Overall, the customer service, hospitality, and room standards fell far below expectations. When guests are paying a significant amount for accommodation, they should receive a basic level of service, cleanliness, and professionalism. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience. Travelodge should review its room allocation procedures, customer service standards, and housekeeping practices to ensure a better experience for future guests.

A decent enough hotel with comfy rooms and the breakfast was good. Only thing keeping it from being 5 stars all round was the price. I’d have probably expected about £30 less per night for it to really shine. I would stay again though for sure.

We had a nice stay at the Travelodge Mile End. We paid to upgrade our room as we were there for 4 nights. The beds were comfy and we had a great sleep, no disturbances. It’s a good location for the tubes. There’s a couple of nice bars close by. The stay was very affordable, especially for the bank holiday weekend. We would rerun.

Rooms were quiet and very clean but the toilet needed a few tries to flush, there was a strange smell from the bathroom and the shower wasn't very good. It's located very close to the underground making it a great base when staying in London and the service from staff was well attentive. Would stay here again for the location.
