About The Dixon Tower Bridge Autograph Collection
Old maps and local guidance run through The Dixon Tower Bridge, an Autograph Collection hotel on Tooley Street that leans into its position near Tower Bridge, Borough Market, London Bridge and the river. Spread across eight floors, the 193 rooms are well finished, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, drinks in room and family and accessible options available, plus room service for anyone who'd rather not head out.
Breakfast comes with a good range of choices, and there's a restaurant, bar and snack bar on site for the rest of the day, along with packed lunches and kids' meals for families. A gym, concierge, laundry service and business and meeting facilities round out the practical side, and the hotel also hosts weddings. Staff are generally helpful, though service has been known to vary from visit to visit.
Pets are welcome, and an electric vehicle charge point is available, though there's no parking on site. With pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, and Tower Bridge and Borough Market within easy reach, it's a solid base for exploring this stretch of the Thames.
What guests say
I recently enjoyed the Tower Bridge afternoon tea at the Courtroom Bar. Firstly, the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. even the beef horseradish was not bad which is a huge compliment as I generally hate horseradish. The scones were warm which was much appreciated, but they had an audible crunch when I bit into them and almost had the texture of a biscuit. I think they were perhaps a bit overbaked and I would've liked for them to be a bit softer and more moist on the inside. Lastly, the desserts I thought could use some improvement. The lemon meringue tart and orange chocolate opera were quite nice, but the raspberry eclair had an ice cold filling which was quite jarring and the chocolate gateaux cake lacked flavor / sweetness. Overall it was a lovely experience, but perhaps could be improved considering the price is not inexpensive!

The Dixon is my go-to when in London. Located near Tower bridge in a quiet neighbourhood yet still walk able to the Tube and nearby restaurants in Bermondsey. The building is an old courtroom where you can still make out some of the old vestiges most notably in the courtroom bar and the restaurant where the holding cell is still visible. Rooms are very comfortable and well-appointed. Bed was super comfortable and AC worked fine even during the hear wave London was experiencing when we were there. Breakfast offered many choices and coffee was good. Gym is on the small (very) side so if there’s more than 4 people it is cramped. Closest tube station is London bridge which is a 15mins walk away. Great place to stay in London and prices are more affordable than many other options.

Stunning lobby. We were there on a particularly hot week/end, and the rooms didn’t have proper AC, so our room was very warm. Staff offered us a standing cooler, which brought little relief. Restaurant and bar downstairs with limited food options. The breakfast bar also with limited options. The attached cafe is very cute and had excellent coffee, though! And the location is perfect for some quiet at night but close to attractions.

Had a mixed stay here. We arrived early and were checked in straight away which was great and service at the desk was amazing and room looked super clean and comfortable. Once we got to the room we did start to realise the air con wasn’t working great and the room was extremely hot. We were visiting due to going to a friend’s party and were going to be out all night. We told the desk our issues and said while we were out they would rectify it for us. When we got back to the room we had been given a small aircon unit which wasn’t even turned on while we were away so the room was so hot still. We thought we’d risk it and keep it on in the hopes it worked but unfortunately not. I’m 4 months pregnant and woke up in the middle of the night feeling super suffocated from warmth and heat. The room was 607 on the top floor with no window to open so you couldn’t escape. I had to resort to lying on the cold wooden floor to cool down and have a cold shower at 3am due to how hot the room was which had me in tears. After managing to get just another hours sleep when we checked out we did mention this to reception and while they did apologise they simply just said they’d pass it on to maintenance and that was it. I was a bit sad they didn’t exactly care much that we had a horrendous sleep and were just like ‘bye see you later’. Had such high hopes which was just let down so much by the lack of care in the morning and terrible sleep.
