About Bermonds Locke

Kitchens and washing machines in the rooms are the detail that makes Bermonds Locke stand out from the usual London hotel stay. Set on Tower Bridge Road, this 41-room property is built for guests who want a bit more independence, whether that means cooking a meal or doing laundry mid-trip, alongside the comforts of a well-appointed room with air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom and drinks provided.

Downstairs there is a restaurant and bar, plus a cafe that guests single out for its coffee and pastries. A gym is available on-site, and free WiFi, luggage storage and laundry service cover the practical side of things. Accessible rooms are also offered, and a lift serves the building throughout.

The atmosphere is generally calm, and staff are described as friendly and helpful, though some guests have found response times slower than expected. The location near Tower Bridge puts guests within easy reach of the area's pubs, restaurants and entertainment, as well as London's wider business districts and attractions.

Our stay at Bermonds Locke Tower Bridge was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt genuinely welcomed and so well taken care of. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful—stylish, spotless, and perfectly located—but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible team. A very special thank you to Yomade, Sarah, Billie, Carla, and Sam. Every single one of you went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Your kindness, warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made such a lasting impression on us. Every interaction was filled with positive energy, and it was clear that you truly care about your guests. It's rare to come across a team that makes you feel so comfortable and valued. Whether it was your helpful recommendations, your friendly conversations, or simply the warm welcome every time we walked through the lobby, you made our stay feel incredibly personal and special. The rooms were beautifully designed, comfortable, and had everything we needed, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was just amazing. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you once again to the entire team, and especially to Yomade, Sarah, Billie, Carla, and Sam**, for making our trip so memorable. You are all a true credit to Bermonds Locke, and we can't wait to return. We will be recommending this hotel to everyone we know! Best regards, Nora Musa

Credit card fraud alert! Have been ignoring my efforts to fix their error for 2 months. Refuse to fix their mistake- do not trust these people with your credit card! They sent me a link to input my credit card details that had the wrong dates. Then they charged the wrong credit card and wouldn’t reverse it or answer my emails. They have tons of lounge seating for the coffee shop and bar, but somehow neither were available to us (paying guests of £2000) the week we were there - coffee shop patrons took over the coffee area, and the bar had private events. They allowed dogs on the tables 🥴 No ice maker - you have to ask the bar (only available when it’s open) They allowed us a 30 min late check out, which we appreciated. It was nice to have a coffee counter! Love the location and the spacious rooms. They advertise washer dryers, which isn’t accurate - there IS a washer, which is lovely! But the drying function doesn’t leave clothes dry. Nice huge fridge but no freezer in the room. Half of the lights and several outlets didn’t work.

I've been staying at Locke properties for a number of years, but my first time at Bermonds Locke. TBH this hotel is just style over substance, and I wouldn't recommend it. The positives: - Location is very good. There isn't a tube station close by, but plenty of buses, and it so easy to walk over tower bridge and be in the city - Surrounding amenities are great, lots of nice cafes/restaurants, as well as supermarkets. - The fitness centre was well stocked (if a little small), and the shared spaces in the hotel are nice - Comfy bed The negatives: - There is no cleaning service other than once a week (if you want anything more you have to pay), which for a London hotel is ridiculous. Added to this that they give you two tiny bins that fit almost nothing in, so you are left to deal with this yourself. They also barely supply anything for your stay - a single dishwasher tablet, an old sponge, only two toilet rolls. For a pricey hotel this is just unacceptable. - The cleanliness is not good. The living spaces of the room look ok at a distance, but all sides are stained, floors are sticky, and the grouting in the bathroom was dirty also. Oh, and if you are staying there, dont look under the bed! Utensils needs a clean as soon as I got there. - The room layout is completely impractical for a long stay. In a standard room there was no soft seat, only kitchen chairs. The TV is in the kitchen, so you can't even see it from the bed. If you want to stay in and watch TV you therefore have to spend it in the kitchen and on uncomfortable seats. - Speaking of the TV, so old and low quality that its barely watchable. Hugely pixelated. - Service was just poor - they ask you to send them a whatsapp message with requests, then they dont reply (2 hours waiting for a reply that never came - had to go to the front desk). Try calling the desk, they dont answer (10 calls, no response). - Windows dont open. Their info says they have windows that open to the outside, dont believe them. They have put a second layer of glass on the windows which makes it impossible to open beyond a mm or two - so no fresh air. Will not be staying here again.

Bermonds Locke is an absolutely wonderful hotel that made international travel almost relaxing. My mother and I shared a room, and every question we had was answered by the in-room information codes or by Guiliana at the front desk. The staff is welcoming and helpful, and the room is so cozy and comfortable. The hotel is a few minutes walk from multiple bus stops, or a longer walk to the London Bridge Tube Station. My father is planning a trip to London in the future, and I’ve already recommended this hotel!
