A High Street hotel in West London with a garden and outdoor seating, handy for restaurants, pubs and public transport nearby.

About The Kings Head Hotel

High Street in West London provides the setting for The Kings Head Hotel, a spot within easy reach of local restaurants, pubs and transport links, and surrounded by the everyday bustle of the city rather than tucked away from it. It's a practical base for anyone wanting to be near the action without paying central London prices.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks on hand, with family rooms available for those travelling with children. That said, maintenance can be patchy in places, so it's worth setting expectations accordingly. Downstairs there's a restaurant, bar and snack bar, plus breakfast each morning, a garden with outdoor seating, and a games room for quieter evenings. Free WiFi, a lift, room service and laundry service round out the practical side, while business travellers get meeting rooms and concierge support.

Staff are consistently mentioned as friendly and willing to help, though service levels can vary from visit to visit. Beyond the hotel doors, the surrounding streets offer plenty of entertainment, restaurants and bars within walking distance, making it a straightforward choice for exploring London on foot.

My room was spacious, clean, with good facilities, and air conned (which was a lifesaver during the heatwave). Shower pressure was perfect and you get given complimentary shower bits. Location is decent. The area is fairly quiet, at least compared to other parts of London; I was travelling solo and felt very safe. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the Acton underground which connects to the Piccadilly line, and in good range to bus stops, as well as shops/cafes/restaurants. Didn't try the restaurant but the prices looked fair. Staff were friendly upon greeting and helpful when my key card unsynced from my room. Would definitely return if I'm in the area again!

I want to recommend this establishment not because I stayed there but just based on the level of humanity and understanding their management showed me in response to an erroneous, non- refundable booking. They understood how the mistake was made, took into consideration the immediate request for cancellation, and showed a tremendous amount of goodwill. This is unusual in an age of machines and chat bots. I will certainly remember this, and would like to recommend the business because where such customer care is evident even before a customer arrives at the hotel, the rest tends to follow. Additionally, I would like to commend their front desk staff for their help, kindness and efficiency. Thank you!

Pleasant stay with friendly staff. Rooms feel newly updated with nice touchpad features for lights etc although maintenance is lacking as there is clear wear to rooms such as missing veneer on furniture and walls. Feels safe, secure, and clean.

The rooms do get stuffy and the aircon is subpar at best. The corridors and hallways have an odour that thankfully does not travel to the rooms, the rooms are quite soundproof but not to the street. You have to buzz in for entry every single time you leave and its proximity to the high street can make for some irritating noise in the early mornings. I stayed in the junior suite which is the biggest room available however it was not anything to write home about, it was missing pillows. Cleanliness was not an issue however the rooms condition was not good. Broken curtains, uneven tiling, rusty TV in the bath, outdated TV in the room, finishing left unfinished. There were also no spoons provided in the tea station thankfully I had my own. The spare sheets were stained and had a smell. The hairdryer is super old from the 90s I believe. The room is pretty spacious but isn’t kept up to standard. It’s such a shame because they could really be so beautiful. The lift is awfully slow and you better off just walk to your room, thankfully I was on the 1st floor. Not the most accessible. Definitely is not worth the price you pay, go to a Premier Inn or Travelodge.
