About The Prince Akatoki London
A Japanese-style breakfast served each morning sets The Prince Akatoki London apart from the usual central London hotel offering. Located on Great Cumberland Place in Greater London, the property brings a calm, considered atmosphere to a busy part of the city, with 82 rooms designed to feel uncluttered and restful rather than showy.
Rooms are finished with an emphasis on clean lines and comfort, and the sense of quiet extends throughout the building, making it feel more like a retreat than a typical city stopover. Guests have access to a restaurant and bar on site, free WiFi, air conditioning, and practical extras including luggage storage, laundry service and valet parking, with free on-site parking also available. The hotel also caters for business travellers and hosts weddings, and porter and concierge services are on hand throughout the stay.
Staff attentiveness is a consistent strength, with service pitched as thorough and genuinely helpful rather than merely efficient. Pets are welcome, and the surrounding area offers plenty of restaurants, pubs and entertainment within easy reach. It adds up to a hotel that trades on calm and quality rather than spectacle, a quiet base from which to explore the city.

What guests say
Henry, Chris, Fennar, and all of the lovely staff at Prince Akatoki make this hotel in the quaint neighborhood of Marylebone truly feel like coming home. We’ve been staying at this hotel every time we’re back in London 3 years in a row now and have continuously been impressed by the thoughtfulness of the service experience and quality of the rooms. The breakfast program is also top notch and is a great way to kickstart the day. Our favorite part of the hotel is how lovely it is to converse with the hotel staff; they are genuinely interested in learning about how your day was and we always leave our conversations smiling. Finally, the housekeeping team has also been phenomenal. They leave the room immaculate everyday and also provide lots of glass bottled water, which we appreciate.

I stayed at the Prince Akatoki hotel for several nights during a solo trip to London. Overall I had a pleasant stay! It was easy to grab an uber and a few times I walked to the nearby tube station (maybe a 7 min walk) or the surrounding neighborhoods (loved going to Marylebone for shopping, cafes and food). Hyde park is also close by and a great stroll! The staff was friendly and helpful overall and I enjoyed the breakfast (with matcha latte) each morning. The English breakfast was good (the Japanese breakfast was just ok) but the other buffet options were good. Room was quiet, comfortable and clean too- always enjoyed having them prep my bed upon return from dinner for bed time! The room had some nice tea bags, complimentary cold drinks, a yukata and I appreciated the special birthday dessert they left me on the first day. Would stay again and overall a nice hotel for London in a central location!

Stayed for 3 days and was not disappointed. Excellent rooms, welcoming staff and top notch service. No complaints at all. The restaurant has an amazing selection of sushi and would highly recommend the omakasi sampling menu. Delicious from start to finish. The whiskey bar has a variety of wonderful beverages and hand crafted cocktails for all different tastes. Executice room was fantastic with a great view and very comfy bed. Plenty of space and a good selection in the mini bar. Hard to get a better location right in the center of London with everything you could need a short distance away. I stayed at the Nobu hotel around the corner earlier in the year and didn't have the best experience. They offered us to go back for a VIP stay to make up for it. We chose to come here instead of revisit there. We definitely made the right choice. Hands down better all round. Easy choice for us again in the future.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and were so impressed by every aspect of the hotel experience. The service throughout the property was exceptional — the front desk staff were warm, professional, and incredibly accommodating from the moment we arrived. Thanks to the Amex Hotel Collection benefits, we were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade and they kindly accommodated our early check-in, which made our travel day so much easier. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job keeping the room spotless, and the evening turndown service added such a thoughtful and luxurious touch to our stay. Food service was equally outstanding — attentive, friendly, and efficient at every interaction. One of the highlights was definitely the buffet breakfast. The selection was extensive with a wide variety of high-quality options, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. It truly felt like a five-star experience from start to finish. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional hospitality and service.
