About The Princess Victoria
Uxbridge Road runs busy and bright past The Princess Victoria, a substantial Victorian building in West London within easy reach of Shepherd's Bush and its transport links. It's the sort of pub-hotel that anchors a corner of the city, with outdoor seating for watching the street go by and a restaurant and bar inside that draw a steady local crowd alongside overnight guests.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi, plus drinks available in room, and reception operates around the clock, so arrivals at odd hours aren't a problem. Kids meals are on offer too, making it a straightforward stop for families as well as those passing through for work or a night out.
The kitchen has a following of its own, with the Sunday roast and Scotch egg singled out as highlights, backed by a broad selection of beers, wines and spirits at the bar. The atmosphere is warm and easy-going, helped along by welcoming staff, though service can slow down when the place gets busy. With pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, it makes a sound base for exploring this corner of West London.

This is the absolute cutest and coziest place to stay in London or grab a bite to eat. Beautiful architecture but more importantly the friendliest and most welcoming staff I’ve ever met in a restaurant/bar. They have made us feel right at home whilst travelling from abroad. Great travel tips, fun conversations, and the most attentive staff. The location is beautiful to explore and gives a true Londoner experience. Sean has been more than amazing with everything we need or have asked for. I rarely write reviews but these guys go above and beyond.

Not good. Would not recommend. Do NOT get the burgers.. they only come in medium rare! Who eats medium rare burgers?? Also, do not order the sourdough toast as a share. The bread was so burnt and it was hard as a brick. The olives are more 10% olive and 90% seed. Super slow service. However, the price is cheap.

My partner and myself just stayed here for a few nights. The pub itself is quite nice, with lovely decor and a pleasant outdoor area. The room however was super small, the walls were very thin so we could hear the people in the rooms next to us. The fridge had power but didn't work at all and for some reason the temperature control on the shower was set to steaming hot and fixed in place. Normally that wouldn't be overly annoying but considering we were experiencing 36 degree days, washing the sweat of the day away with a burning hot shower wasn't exactly pleasant. Of course, it was pretty much just a side note after we came back to our room on the second night to find the bed had been freshly made with a sheet that had human fecal matter ironed into it. We had to get the manager to physically sniff the sheet before he gave us a different room for the night whilst they fixed the issue. Weirdest thing that's ever happened to me at a hotel. The cleaner seemed lovely so I'm assuming the laundrette caused the issue but still, a bit bemused as to how you could overlook a big brown iron shaped stain on the bed once you've made it. If it wasn't for Igor being an absolute gent during our stay we would have packed up and asked for a refund.

Tried a Sunday roast today at The Princess Victoria and honestly, I was blown away. The chicken was perfectly cooked—so tender and full of flavor. This was my first time ever having a proper Sunday roast, and I’ve never experienced anything like it before. Big thanks to my friend for recommending this pub—definitely worth it! I’ll be coming back for sure.
