About The Villa Kensington
For visitors who care more about location and value than square footage, The Villa Kensington offers a straightforward base in Greater London. This is a 38-room hotel on Ashburn Gardens, well suited to those planning to spend their days out and about rather than lounging in their room, with Kensington (Olympia) close by and Windsor Great Park giving those with a car or a longer day out somewhere further afield to head to.
Rooms come with air conditioning and are kept clean and comfortable, though some are on the smaller side, so this suits travellers packing light rather than those wanting space to spread out. A lift serves all floors, and porter services and luggage storage take the effort out of arrival and departure. Breakfast is available on site, and the surrounding streets offer a choice of pubs, restaurants and other eateries for the rest of the day's meals.
Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, which goes some way to making up for the odd patchy Wi-Fi signal. Free WiFi is provided throughout, and the hotel's central position near the tube makes it a practical choice for anyone prioritising ease of getting around London over having a bigger room to come back to.

What guests say
I stayed at this hotel for 8 days this summer. The location was perfect, only a 5-min of walking to the Gloucester Road station that can lead to almost everywhere in London. Even though it was near some busy area, the neighborhood was very quiet. I didn't hear too much noise which was rare for hotels in city centre. My room was at the 3rd floor and there was a lift so you don't have to take the luggages climbing stairs. The room was clean and spacious and had air conditioning, this was very helpful because of the heat wave in July. The staff was attentive. The price was very reasonable considering it was during the high season. Overall, I was very satisfied for the stay. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for two nights checked out today. I would highly recommend the staff at reception and the location. Very close to Gloucester station and the reception staff are very efficient and professional. My room was a single room and I found it quiet and clean. My favourite thing about this hotel was the air conditioning 🙌 I got burnt and was out all day and the room was so lovely and cool when sleeping. The breakfast was a basic continental but they offered boiled or scrambled eggs which I was grateful for. The shower was clean and worked well. I would stay again if the mattresses were changed. I've never slept on a harder mattress which was disappointing as I suffer with back issues. Overall I would recommend this hotel. Thank you for having me.

My wife and I stayed from from May 5 to the 10th of 2026, and to be honest we did not stay there because we wanted concierge service and caviar breakfast, we stayed there because the price was reasonable and it was close to the Tube, the buses, and the supermarkets. Yes our room was small, but our room was cleaned everyday and if we needed extra towels all we needed was to ask the front desk, The instant hot water system in the shower was great. The staff were excellent and a shout out to "William" for helping us when we needed assistance. The breakfast was good, but warning the breakfast is only included if you book through the hotel website, if you book it through a second party website, even though that website says it's included it is not. If we are in London again, will definitely stay there again.

We stayed in The Villa Kensington for 3 nights for a long weekend in May. The staff was very attentive, friendly and accomodating, we were very well looked after as a large group of friends. I want to say a big thank you to Nick , William and others in a reception, you made our stay a pleasure- I hope to visit again in the future :) The check-in was quick and easy and there is luggage storage if you need to leave your suitcase after check -out. The rooms are clean and the beds comfy, plentiful breakfast includes hot options such as scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, toasts. We could not fault the location- all the points of interest of Central London are within easy reach, on foot or short tube ride away. The tube station is only 3 min walk away. Don't hestitate to choose this hotel if you're looking for a good value for money place in Central location.
