About The Z Hotel Victoria

For anyone passing through London on a tight schedule or an even tighter budget, The Z Hotel Victoria makes a practical base. Tucked on Lower Belgrave Street, it's built for short stays near Victoria Station rather than lingering, with rooms that are efficient rather than expansive, so it suits solo travellers and couples more than families needing room to unpack.

Rooms are modern and well kept, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, and comfortable beds, though space is tight and worth knowing about before you book. Facilities cover the essentials: breakfast, free WiFi, a snack bar, drinks in the room, laundry service, and a lift, along with accessible rooms and concierge help for anything else you need. Members can also take advantage of complimentary cheese and wine, a small touch that guests particularly enjoy.

The staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, which goes a long way when your room is more about sleeping than settling in. With pubs, restaurants, and other eateries close by, and Victoria Station on the doorstep for onward travel, it works well as a no-fuss stopover in central London.

For me, this hotel is perfect. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Underground station. The coach to Stansted Airport also stops nearby. There is a grocery store, Starbucks, and Joe & The Juice just around the corner. The rooms are very small, but comfortable and have everything you need. The best part of the hotel is the reception area – it's so cosy and welcoming. Guests are offered complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, or even wine. After long days of walking around London, a nice cup of tea was always appreciated. The staff were incredibly kind to my daughter and me. Every day they offered her hot chocolate and cookies, which made her feel very special. I especially remember one member of staff who worked almost every afternoon during our stay. Unfortunately, I forgot her name, but she was exceptionally friendly, and her kindness made our stay even more enjoyable. We stayed at the hotel from 15 March to 19 March, and I would happily stay here again on my next visit to London.

The rooms are small and modern. For sustainability reasons the rooms are not cleaned everyday. But you can request this to be cleaned. My kettle looked to have white mould at the bottom. There was no telephone or way to contact reception from my room. I have to search the hotels number to then call and report this. When checking out I mentioned this and the lady argued with me saying it was lime scale from the London water. Even if it’s London water - they left it standing for longer than 24 hours for it to get to that state. It was not the best to see. They then gave me a new kettle from the box which is great. But was not pat tested before handing it over to me. A small to medium pizza costs £16, go to the station it’s cheaper. One morning I asked for hot water as I was heading out and the clerk at reception told me “you have water in your room you can make hot” Horrible service

I stayed at The Z Hotel Victoria for three nights and it was exactly what I needed. As a solo traveler, it was a perfect fit. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, you may want something a bit more spacious, but for one person exploring London, I couldn't have asked for more. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and having both a private bathroom and air conditioning was a huge plus. Those amenities can be surprisingly difficult to find in the UK—especially in such a central location at a reasonable price. The location is outstanding. It's literally steps from Victoria Station, an easy walk to the coach station, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants, pubs, and anything else you might need. While the Victoria neighborhood itself is a little more upscale than my personal taste, the hotel has a welcoming, unpretentious feel despite its boutique style. What really stood out was the staff. Every interaction was friendly and professional, and having someone at the front desk 24 hours a day was incredibly reassuring. They stored our luggage when we arrived before check-in and even offered to deliver it to our room if it became available while we were out exploring. Free filtered drinking water was also a thoughtful touch. The late checkout option ended up being worth every penny. We had been at a festival the night before and didn't get back until around 1 a.m., so having those extra hours to sleep before heading to the airport made a world of difference. Overall, this hotel delivers exactly what it promises: a clean, comfortable, well-run place to stay in an unbeatable location without paying luxury hotel prices. I'd happily stay here again on a future trip to London.

We spent tree days. After the first night we had to upgrade the room. The small rooms are way too small for two adults with luggage. Upgraded room a lot better. Breakfast really good. The staff is very attentive and professional. Will highly recommend this hotel if the wish is to stay around Victoria area.
