About Travelodge London Wood Green
Rooms at Travelodge London Wood Green are simple and unfussy: en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and drinks available in room, spread across six floors served by a lift. Accessible rooms are available for those who need them, and the whole hotel runs on a 24 hour reception, so arrival at odd hours isn't a problem. It's a budget setup rather than a boutique one, but it covers the basics without fuss.
There's no restaurant on site, but a Costa Coffee sits nearby for a quick coffee, and pubs, bars and restaurants in the surrounding area take care of meals out. Pets are welcome, which is useful for guests travelling with animals, and free nearby parking is available for the first 12 hours if you validate your vehicle at reception, with charges applying afterwards at The Mall East car park on the High Road.
The hotel sits in central Wood Green, close to the Tube and with solid transport links into central London, making it a practical base for exploring the capital without paying central London prices. It's the kind of place suited to guests who want a clean, functional room and easy access to the rest of the city rather than an experience built around the hotel itself.

What guests say
I would strongly advise others to think twice before staying at this Travelodge. When we arrived, the room had a strong unpleasant odour and there were unknown stains on the floor. The room did not feel clean or hygienic, and it certainly wasn't the standard I would expect from a hotel. We raised our concerns with reception on four separate occasions during our stay, but no meaningful solution was provided. After returning home, I complained to Travelodge's customer service team. While they acknowledged that our experience fell below the standards they aim to provide, they refused to issue a full refund. Despite escalating the complaint to a senior advisor, I was simply told that they believed their partial refund was appropriate and that they would not be entering into any further correspondence. The most disappointing part of this experience wasn't just the condition of the room, but how the complaint was handled. After multiple emails, I was effectively told the matter was closed without any explanation of why the condition of the room did not warrant a full refund. I've stayed in hostels that were cleaner than this room. Every guest should be able to expect basic standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and unfortunately that was not our experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other travellers deserve to know both about the condition of the room we were given and the way our complaint was dealt with afterwards.

DO NOT TRUST THE CAR PARK VALIDATION AT THIS SITE, the system failed and I ended up with a £60 parking fine. Supposedly gave us 12 hours for parking left with 30 mins to go but a week later got a letter in the post, absolute failure on behalf of Travelodge. So if you do stay at this place just pay the parking as normal to be safe or risk getting stung like I did.

Location was great for what we needed but the stay itself could've been better. Barely working aircon during a heatwave left us without much sleep as the windows didnt open much. The main door of the hotel is also locked all the time and you have to ring reception for them to let tou in whoch was a bit odd, didn't feel welcoming. Disappointing

Well, my latest hotel stay was extremely unpleasant to say the least. Temperatures this weekend are in the 28-30°C and a lot of our rooms did not have working air con. We asked reception but they could not get it fixed so they were only giving out fan's to guests. We were a very big party of people staying as we were there for a family wedding and therefore were able to compare rooms. Over 6 of our rooms with no AC!!!!! The staff were very apologetic and I have given them 5 star as its not their fault. Blame lies on Travelodge businesses not maintaining the AC systems and the sudden heatwave just added the last straw to it. Rooms were clean although I should point out the lack of a shower mat/towel on the floor for stepping out onto. One of the main double rooms in our party did not have electricity until fixed promptly by the staff. At least, the 12 hour free parking if you were a guest helped appease us. Located in a shopping mall so the car park is not owned by Travelodge. Boy racers in stupid loud exhaust vehicles use this location to show off by revving and causing backfire's in the enclosed streets so very noisy well up to 1:00 am in the morning.
