What diners say
We had a really lovely dinner last night. We’ve dined at Bar Esteban for years. We are moving back to Australia next week so last night was our last Saturday night in London and we chose to dine with you because we have such great memories of dining at Bar Esteban, the delicious food and wine, and lovely service.

Great tapas restaurant in Crouch end. Reasonable prices, fresh seafood and very well made grub. The Lamb skewers and Crispy Pork Belly were divine… Come here on a Summers evening for Boquerones and a bottle of wine, you’ll be transported to the Costa Del Sol.

We love this place, bringing guests from out of town and choosing it for all our family occasions. The tapas are excellent. Perennial favourites include the chipirones and the cauliflower. The ceviche special at the moment is fabulous. For dessert, the Basque cheesecake is a winner though we do miss the torreja (think Spanish bread and butter pudding) which is not on the menu at the moment. And I have to mention Tomasso’s cocktails — perhaps the best in North London: the classic Margarita is excellent as is the chili martini. And I love the Scottish Negroni, and also the simple but beautifully served vermouth on the rocks, red or white. All in all, a total winner of a restaurant that we’re lucky to have in our neighbourhood.

This is such a gem in Crouch End. All of the food is delicious and service is wonderful! We have been a few times now and they are very consistent. Definitely recommend the arroz con pulpo, pan con tomate and the bouquerones
