The Old Bank of England is one of London’s most fascinating historic pubs. Having just reopened after its renovation, it’s definitely worth a visit. Be sure to check out the unique tables made from the original bank vaults—they’re a brilliant reminder of the building’s past. The food was delicious, the atmosphere is stunning, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A perfect place to enjoy a traditional British pub experience in a truly iconic setting. Highly recommended! 🍻

An outstanding venue in every sense. Set within a grand former banking hall, the interior is truly impressive—high ceilings, ornate detailing, and a sense of scale that immediately sets it apart. The historic character has been preserved with great care, creating an atmosphere that feels both refined and welcoming. Beyond the architecture, everything functions exactly as it should. The food is well-prepared and satisfying, the drinks selection is extensive, and the overall quality is consistent. Service is attentive without being intrusive, contributing to a smooth and comfortable experience. What makes this place particularly notable is the balance it achieves: a visually striking environment combined with a well-run, high-quality gastropub operation. It doesn’t rely solely on its setting—the substance matches the surroundings. Located on one of the most beautiful stretches of Fleet Street, it is a place you naturally want to return to.

Great find! The 'Old Bank' has such a unique vibe with its historic decor. We came for the Sunday roast and it didn’t disappoint—the portions were generous and the quality was excellent. They have a good variety of drinks and the staff were friendly despite how busy it was. Watching the bustle of the pub from the balcony seating is a great experience. Super place !

Very lovely decor inside. A must visit for photos. Very noisy bar area, completely jammed with customers at 5 pm on a Saturday in late March. Lots of young Americans. We ate in the Parlor room which was quieter, at the back of the building. There's more seating in a London Bus in the back yard! Starters and dessert good. Pumpkin burger was a bit dull. Menu lacked Zing. No lighter dishes for the figure conscious that I remember. Apparently the pies were good. All served with chips. Service at bar good. Service at table was surly.
