What diners say
Had a wonderful evening for dinner with friends. Excellent service by friendly and attentive staff members. The food was fantastic! The ox cheek ragu was heavenly, and the chef’s special cheesecake was simply delicious. The perfect venue for dinner with a great mix of a cosy and lively atmosphere.

Found out this was acquired and redone in September and honestly, was blown away by the amazing service we had there. The appetizer (ox cheek croquettes) was really good but the entrees were the star of the show. The steak and ale pie pastry was incredible. The crab roll was one of the craziest things I've had, in an great way. I'd rather have The Grafton crab roll over any lobster roll from New England. It's THAT good. The staff was warm and welcoming. I was there on 10/24/25 during the afternoon so to any staff that was working there, you guys were absolutely amazing.

Mathew and another gorgeous lovely woman on your team (mathew will pass on her details) were so caring and kind to me when I walked into the pub with a dead and half broken phone. They both looked after me almost like I was a member of their family. Made sure that I left with a phone that was functioning. Kindness like that is very rare these days, working in hospitality for a very long time myself… I am so grateful for these two wonderful human beings!

Lovely pub, nice and bright, good soundtrack and quick service. Only slight downside was that when we went all lagers were served in generic pint glasses.

People say this pub offers delicious dishes like the crab roll, steak and ale pie, and ox cheek croquettes. They also highlight the friendly and welcoming service, and the great vibe, especially in the upstairs private area and terrace.
Some reviews mention the food can be bland.
