What visitors say
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Perfect Stay at Low Moor Head Caravan Site From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. The owners are absolutely fantastic – warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about making every stay memorable. It’s the little touches that really stood out for us – anniversary balloons waiting for us, a delicious breakfast package, fresh flowers, and chocolates, all thoughtfully arranged by our wonderful hostess. The accommodation was spotless – you could tell it had been cleaned with care. The bedding and towels were so fresh it felt like a true home from home. Every detail was immaculate. Location-wise, it’s ideal – just a short drive to the local town and only around 20 minutes into Carlisle city centre, where we enjoyed a day of shopping followed by a gorgeous Italian meal. The hot tub and grounds were simply stunning – quiet, peaceful, and beautifully kept. We were lucky enough to watch the moon rise from the hot tub, which was nothing short of magical. The site itself is run so well, with a happy and relaxed atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. You can really see the love and hard work the family pours into the place. The attention to detail is second to none – fairy lights twinkling at night, colourful flowers planted everywhere, logs stacked ready for use, and even robes provided for after the hot tub – all such thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. We will definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Low Moor Head Caravan Site to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with outstanding hospitality.

Just back home from a one night stay here. Really friendly owners greeted us on arrival. Six fresh eggs delivered to the pitch was a lovely touch. This site has everything you need for a comfortable, peaceful and relaxing time. Really well maintained site. Lovely shower, toilet and sink in a hut with disabled access. Information hut with everything you need to know about the area and its surroundings. CCTV on the gate monitoring the outside area of the site makes you feel safe and secure. Recycling area and car park next to it and an elsan point on site. The pitches are really spacious. Grey water disposal, fresh water, electric and a picnic bench all included in your pitch. We will definitely be back. We’ve had the most relaxing night on this beautiful site. Thankyou.

I have stayed at this wonderful campsite before in a motorhome and this is one of the best. Each pitch has its own electric hookup and water supply. There is chemical disposal and a shower and toilet which are impeccably clean. Mrs Taylor, the owner couldn’t be more friendly or helpful. You can also buy really fresh eggs from her. I would highly recommend this site either if your exploring the area - Carlisle, Gretna or Hadrians Wall forts, or using it as a stop off on the way north or south. Also Classic Pizza, 14 High Street, Longtown will deliver to the campsite a really nice pizza.

We had a lovely 3 night stay whilst we were visiting Longtown to attend a wedding. The site was really quiet and very well maintained. The shower facilities were spotless & the fresh cut flowers were a lovely touch! Loved how it was all set up…there was also a fabulous shepherds hut & camping pod on-site too…Which we may have to try out next time! Perfect site for me as it is a working farm….loved getting up close to all the animals. Adele the owner was so lovely…..she even gave us a lift to the wedding and a little tour of the area en route!! Wouldn’t hesitate to come here again….just fabulous.
