Great place for a wee break, loved staying in the pods albeit it was very hot and stuffy - only one window could be opened and the other had no air vent. Beaches were beautiful. Campsite was well laid out and clean. Didn't like the volume in the cafe where the kids entertainment was ongoing as there were speakers everywhere making it intolerable, so we didn't eat here during our stay which was a shame as we would've liked to support the site. Next visit, we will book to climb up the lighthouse! We had amazing thunder and lightening when we were there!

Stayed at silver sands Lossiemouth for a 3 night stay and it was the perfect amount of time. Entertainers were fab with adults and kids. Arcade was great until a regular visitor (adult) came along and stole points from the kids and when brought to the attention of staff we were told “he always does that” which I do feel is a poor response to give to a 4 year old child. Beach was great very clean and you can enter the cave. Will return back in future

VAN LV 37 Our recent stay at Silver Sands Caravan Park from the 20th to the 27th of June • We previously visited your park a few years ago and loved it, which is why we chose to return. This trip was meant to be a much-needed sanctuary for my husband and me. We have recently suffered two devastating family bereavements within weeks of each other—losing my father and my brother-in-law. We booked this break solely to find some quiet time alone to grieve. Instead, we arrived to find our caravan in a truly disgusting, forcing me to spend the first day of my holiday in tears, cleaning up other people's filth. Severe Cleanliness & Hygiene Failures It was immediately obvious that the caravan had neither been cleaned nor hoovered before our arrival: • Strong Urine Odour: There was a powerful, unmistakable smell of urine upon entering the caravan. • Filthy Toilets: The toilets were visibly dirty. When I wiped them down myself, the cloth came away bright yellow. The floors in both toilets were also filthy. • Leftover Rubbish In the small bedroom, we found a juice bottle still containing liquid, an old tissue, and a lollipop stick left entirely untouched under the single beds. • Kitchen Neglect: The kitchen draining board still had old spaghetti stuck to it, which I had to disinfect using boiling water. Maintenance Issues • The door handle on the main door was broken. The toilet seat in the main bathroom was broken. Decline of Park Grounds & Safety Hazards The state of the caravan was mirrored by a shocking decline in the maintenance of the wider park grounds. Litter was strewn everywhere and was never cleared during our entire week-long stay. This included: • Empty cans, dirty sponges, used tissues, and ice cream spoons. We found broken glass on the grounds and loose, clip-on toilet chemical cleaners left lying outside our caravan. This is completely unsafe and highly hazardous. We did not raise this with reception immediately because we were—and still are—completely deflated, exhausted, and emotionally drained. A paying customer should never have to find the energy to argue for basic hygiene standards, nor should they have to spend their holiday scrubbing someone else's mess. Due to this experience, we will never return to Silver Sands. Don't bother going to the restaurant, I received cold pizza and mushroom was still raw! We thankfully did have a really lovely holiday but could have been made so much better , all it takes is for someone to clean it properly, its a real shame as such a beautiful location that has so many wonderful memories for my family and I. We will return but not to the the caravan park!

We had a lovely time at Silver Sands. We booked a lodge as we had the dog and our asn toddler likes lots of space to run around. We also had family who had booked a standard caravan so thought a larger place would mean we could all spend the evenings together. Staff were friendly on arrival, only issue we had was that the lady gave us the correct keys but circled to wrong location on the map, meaning i tried to break into an owners caravan for a good 5 minutes before realising. We didnt use the entertainment nor eating facilities as have family locally that we visited. Entertainment could be heard from a good way across the park in the evenings. Only downfall is that although where we were situated was lovely, we were right beside the path onto the beach and had the most awful nights with teenagers drinking in the caves just beside this and causing a racket.
