Beachfront holiday park at Lossiemouth with pool and entertainment, 6 miles from Elgin
About Silver Sands Holiday Park
Silver Sands Holiday Park commands a prime position right on the Moray Firth coast near Lossiemouth, with direct access to a sweeping sandy beach backed by dunes. The largest and best-equipped site in the area, it offers touring and camping pitches alongside static caravans and lodges, and delivers a full-scale holiday-park experience rather than a simple overnight stop. An indoor heated pool, sauna, steam room and gym anchor the leisure facilities, while a bar, amusement arcade and summer entertainment programme keep families busy on rainier days. Modern shower blocks and electric hook-ups serve the touring pitches, and dogs are welcome.
Lossiemouth's shops, restaurants and marina lie within easy reach, and the dramatic Covesea Lighthouse with its sea caves makes a rewarding walk along the coast. The site can feel busy at peak times and some fixtures show their age, but the beachfront location and range of amenities still appeal to families wanting an active seaside base. Elgin's cathedral, distilleries and High Street are fifteen minutes inland when you fancy a change of scene.

What visitors say
Great place for a wee break, loved staying in the pods albeit it was very hot and stuffy - only one window could be opened and the other had no air vent. Beaches were beautiful. Campsite was well laid out and clean. Didn't like the volume in the cafe where the kids entertainment was ongoing as there were speakers everywhere making it intolerable, so we didn't eat here during our stay which was a shame as we would've liked to support the site. Next visit, we will book to climb up the lighthouse! We had amazing thunder and lightening when we were there!

Lovely holiday let with everything we needed for our stay. Situated with a view of the Lighthouse which glows alternating colours in the evening. Only 5 mins walk to the beach by the Covesea caves. The site was quiet - but probably busier in the summer season. Lossiemouth only 10-15 mins away by car with excellent beach walk. Several cafe's, restaurants etc. Lossie woods only 15 mins away with several woodland trails, Red Squirrel and lots of woodland birds.

I've been coming to Lossiemouth for over 35 years. My parents brought me here when I was a kid, and now I bring my own children. It's a place we genuinely love, and we'll keep coming back because the town and beach are fantastic. Unfortunately, this stay at Silversands was let down badly by the caravan. I paid extra for a pet-free caravan, but it was obvious dogs had been in it before. The cleaners had to strip and wash the sofa and shampoo the carpets after we arrived. As a result, we couldn't unpack properly or use the sofa for most of our holiday because everything was soaking wet. That's not what you expect when you've paid extra for a specific standard of accommodation. It's a real shame because Silversands has always been part of our family holidays, but this experience was disappointing. I hope the park improves its quality checks, as it shouldn't take guests arriving before these issues are spotted

Stayed at silver sands Lossiemouth for a 3 night stay and it was the perfect amount of time. Entertainers were fab with adults and kids. Arcade was great until a regular visitor (adult) came along and stole points from the kids and when brought to the attention of staff we were told “he always does that” which I do feel is a poor response to give to a 4 year old child. Beach was great very clean and you can enter the cave. Will return back in future
