Quiet working farm site above Lyme Regis, ten minutes by car

About Penn Farm Camping and Caravanning

Penn Farm is a peaceful, family-run site on a working farm in the hills above Lyme Regis, roughly ten minutes' drive from the town centre and within easy reach of both Lyme Regis and Charmouth's fossil beaches. Pitches are spread across open grass fields bordered by hedgerows and farmland, giving campers space and quiet rather than the closer quarters of a holiday park. The rural setting and views over the surrounding hills toward the sea are the main draw for regulars who return year after year.

Facilities are straightforward: clean shower and toilet blocks, electric hook-up on touring pitches, and a small reception where the on-site family can advise on local walks, fossil hunting spots and the best routes into town by car or on foot via the coast path. There's no shop, pool or entertainment, which suits the low-key crowd perfectly. Dogs are welcome throughout, making it a natural base for walkers on the South West Coast Path or anyone wanting an early fossil walk on Monmouth Beach before the crowds arrive. Being set back from town also means considerably lower prices than staying centrally in Lyme Regis.

Fantastic simple site with beautiful views. Turned up unannounced and rang the number at the entrance. Was told to find a suitable pitch and later met the lovely owner. £20 per night. CC taken. Extremely clean toilets. Hot showers. Chocks needed for most pitches. Easy 1hr walk down to Lyme Regis, hard walk back up! Would definitely come back

BEWARE TICKS IN SUMMER!! If you have a pet please be aware of the ticks. We stayed for 2 nights and our small terrier had been bitten 4 times despite being on tick repelling medication. I know it is mentioned to be tick season but never have I experienced so many ticks at a campsite before so BE PREPARED.
