Lovely location with nice walks directly around the site. If using a tent or Awning make sure you have strong pegs as in most places the ground is full of stones, we bent a lot of our pegs and had to buy rock pegs to finish set up. Staff friendly and helpful. Great to set up pretty much where ever you like.

We spent two nights at the campsite and would recommend it. Not far from Lyndhurst with lots of options for walking and cycling. Very much a back to nature site with amazing dawn chorus whilst we were there, we even heard a night jar. Quiet and secluded pitches and Terry the site manager was very helpful. Would recommend Peggy Mays for breakfast :)

Very nice dog friendly campsite located near Lyndhurst, approx 30min walking distance. We had a lovely stay over the Bank Holiday weekend. The site is completely off-grid which adds to experience and you won't see many people wandering around the site. Thank you Terry (The Warden) for a warm welcome. The campsite was great, but according to our dog Rio, Terry’s biscuit rounds were the real highlight, so he now considers this a 5-star resort.

Excellent campsite to disconnect for a few days. Near a charming village with all services. But near quiet road. Noise traffic barely bothered me. Very basic, it’s practically you, and the forest. No fences, you literally are sleeping in the middle of the forest, with access to wild animals, and wild animals having access to sniff your tent or window, or rub their body for a scratch. Magical sunsets. Probably sunrises as well, but I’m not an early bird. 🙃 The warden is very friendly and available for emergencies.
