Fantastic find! As seasoned campers we've had our highs and lows of campsites. Long Meadow Campsite sits up there with the best. From friendly and prompt check in, clean and well maintained facilities to a useful site shop with ice cold drinks. It really is a find. Love the fact they're strict on pitch spacing with gives each tent a generous space and room for kids to play Frisbee around. Electrical hook ups and fast WiFi also allowed the teens a bit of early evening downtime from the sun. Equally 'quiet time' starts at 10am which is a blessing after an active day in the new forest. Most campers respect this but obviously some noise travels from evening chatter. Location is the highlight, settled between Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst, you really are in the heart of the forest, with bike and walk trails literally through a gate from the site. I woke in the night to visit the loo and was amazed to see a group of Deer quietly munching grass by our tent... simply magic to be blessed by nature. Cannot recommend this place enough and glad we can enjoy one last night before we head home!

Back from 3 night stay in our Campervan and really impressed with Long Meadow and the New Forest which were both new to us. Great cycling through the woods and being able to visit Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst for pubs and amenities, easily from the site is great. Waking to be surrounded by dozens of deer was special too. The staff, organisation, cleanliness and recycling were all excellent. Loved to food waste caddies by the washing stations. We will return.

Recently stayed at Long Meadow campsite in the New Forest 🌳 with friends who had not been there before, two of which had two beautiful Red Setter doggies. Location: About half way along the main link road between Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst. Camp staff: Very very friendly and especially patient. Always ready for a chat and willing to help. Facilities: Very good. Always clean even during busier periods. There was an issue, (not a complaint) I found where the ‘meadow’ showers didn’t turn off, I did report this. Shop in the Reception area stocking basic essentials. WiFi worked well. Ample pot wash sinks. We never found we had to wait / queue for anything. Things to do: Slap bang in the middle of the Forest 🌳 so plenty to do and see. Walks and cycle rides a plenty. Pretty much guaranteed you’ll see deer grazing in the meadow during your stay. Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst within walking distance from the site and well worth a visit. If you have dogs, there is a shallow river not 5 minutes walk from the campsite for them to swim and cool off in, just ask staff for directions. We caught an open top bus from Brockenhurst, ‘Blue route’ and toured the Southern part of the forest, very beautiful and good fun. Conclusion: If you want a relaxing stay in the New Forest for a reasonable tariff then give Long Meadow a try. I think you won’t be disappointed.

We’ve been camping for many years and have to say this is the best campsite we’ve been to! The welcome from the team (special thanks to Lisa and Neil) was the best we’ve experienced. The pitches were large and spacious and it was lovely and quiet even though the site was fairly busy. The facilities were spotless and staff were always smiling and happy to help. There were wild deer grazing in the adjoining fields. We will definitely be back, thank you so much! 😊🙏
